Day Watch Trailer!!

night watch didn't conform to the conventions of cinema, which is why the mainstream western viewers didn't agree with it I feel.

it's not brilliant by any means, but I still think it's a great piece of cinema, nice to see contemporary filmmakers diping into surrealism.

yea seriously....

my friend said it sucked balls...and when i asked why he said because he (1)didnt understand it and(2) it had crappy fight scenes(???)..

lol... true story

oh and hopefully this movie has a wide release ...last time i had to drive far as hell to see it.

it showed at my local cinema which is impressive really as they're quite bad. But yeah, people expected a fantasy fighting film, where it's a surrealstic journey, the main character's head is messed up, the cinematic style reflects this, it's quite intelligent, but felt itself stuck invetween small personal level and a mass epic level and it didn't fully pay off as best it could.

No lol, I understood it fine, my mate got lost in one part of the film, but I think its stright forward really. Fight scenes are cool.

My local cinema showed the film for two weeks as I saw it again, but then again they don't show a lot of non English films, so I was happy they did show it.

I agree with you about Western Cinema which is very formula centred especially Hollywood movies.

Featuring the cinematic vision of cutting-edge director/writer Timur Bekmambetov, Day Watch (Dnevnoi Dozor) is the second installment of a trilogy based on the best-selling sci-fi novels of Sergei Lukyanenko entitled "Night Watch," "Day Watch" and "Dusk Watch."

I think the first poster is the best. The one with the head unravelling is interesting too.

BTW, that trailer is amazing. I never saw the first, but might have to check it out now.

I like the first two, but I voted number 2. I like the tagline more, the picture with Anton in the middle with his torch and the battle either side.

The A1ant Night Watch is amazing, I suggest you see it.

Good news for UK people Day Watch is out Octorber the 6th!

I am on the last part of the second book its great and then to the third book.

I saw this film today. The editing and pacing wasn't smooth. There were too many switches to other supporting characters. But all that aside I felt this film was still good. The special effects were excellent! If somebody could bring the fight between Miracle Man and Miracle Boy, it's these guys!

i want to see it!! ****ing limited release bull****.

whens the dvd??????

I watched it dubbed in English. The voices were awful but at least I could enjoy the special effects more. I don't mind watching it again in Russian.

Next month is out over here yeah!

I got the third book, cool cover and rumors are there is a fouth book wrote or going to be wrote. Called the last watch.

night watch was simultaneously the most enjoyable and most depressing thing i've ever seen. visually stunning? yes. but the acting/story/editing/ gave me a headache and the need to consume a six-pack.

but yeah, i definitely still want to see day watch.

at least it will look good.

I enjoyed Night Watch, it wasnt anything special but it was a good movie, but DW looks even better, so i will have to see it.

Yeah it does, looks like they had more of a budget for the film and the stories in that one are better I think.

Night Watch was great, I can't wait for this one! And cool posters.
But got to wait till 6th Oct, that sucks but least it is coming out over here unlike some other films I like...
=)

So saw it last night and really enjoyed it .

I read the books so the part where Anton and Olga swaped bodies was funny, but good film overall better then the first I think, just by a bit.
Ending was soooo different to the book I was like wtf lol thats not what happends at all lol so I was thrown by that

And also some characters died in the second book which didn't in the book these are -
Tiger Club (which sadden me, good character and better in the books, should have been more in the film as well and also the Dark one called Alicia
