I hope XDoFP will outgross Amazing Spider-man 2 and Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

Movie on pace to finish $224M domestically now. It should hold well next week too considering the competition and have another good drop.
I've been crunching the numbers and I think you are actually correct. Eventhough I said 221milish, It really should do around 225mil unless it just starts heavy drops. I'm sure I'll be going back and forth on the numbers as they come so the projections are subject to change.

I'm still not good at reading the international numbers but I'm guessing it's not a lock for 500mil? Somebody correct me if they think that I am wrong.

Winter soldier is ahead of DOFP due to it's stronger domestic numbers. In Overseas numbers according to BOM DOFP numbers are slightly better.WS Is at 256 Million DOmesticly.

DOFP Is on track to beat Man of Steel's WW.It's already beat Thor the dark world's WW numbers and shortly will pass it DOmesticly. To beat the Amazing Spider-man 2 ww It has to pass 700 million ww.SPider-man is at 700 million WW.Foreign box office Is saving sony's butt on ASM2.It has 198 million to DOFP 205 million domesticly.

Not bad for franchise some said was dead.Strong performance of 22 Jump Street shows Fox and Donner were smart to get Channing taturm for Gambit.

DOFP will probally pass X2's unadjusted numbers but getting to Last Stand's numbers may be problematic even though it would be great to say last stand Is no longer top X-Men film at domestic box office.

Not a lock, but still is a possibility. Still has Venezuela, Cap 2 did 10M there, DoFP should do like maybe 8 at least? If it doesn't hit 500m it should end somewhere close to it. With 225m domestic it needs 490 million OS to beat Cap 2.

700M WW is a lock tho IMO.

You keep saying this Marvel but it could be said for DOFP too.

Honestly I would gladly shave off $15Mil+ from DOFP's OS run if we can get that $15Mil added to its domestic box office.

In the end not a disaster domestically at all but hope for more next time. Great growth overseas. Lets see more of both next time as each subsequent entry inches closer to a billion (even if it's inflation and overseas infrastructure that eventually takes us there ;)).

I hate doing overseas projection but...

If you exclude China(only about $3M more from here) from this weeks overseas take it took in about $30M. 50% drops the rest of the way give it $30M more, throw in about $10M for Venezuela. Although I remain skeptical if it can actually dropped that well what with WC and TF4 coming soon. So if we go a bit extreme and say it drops 60% $20M more from rest of territories. So a chance at $500M but it could very well just miss it also.

$700M WW seems locked at this point, question remains if it can go past Cap2.

I predicted it would end around 215 million, happy to see that it's back on track for 225.

Yeah 700mil looks like a lock. Hopefully it hits 500mil internationally.

Ahead of its final opening in Venezuela next weekend, X-Men: Days of Future Past grossed an extra $18.2m from its 74 markets to take its overseas haul to $457.6m and its global tally to $663.5m.
China continues to be the biggest market with $111.8m following a $2.1m weekend and, despite the launch of the World Cup, Brazil fell just 34% to add $2m for $23.9m and France and the UK each provided $1.4m for $26.6m and $41.6m, respectively.

56% weekend drop, with around 72% drop in China. Looks like the other territories are holding up well.

X-Men has never made the money Spider-man has.The last 3 X-Men films failed to hit 200 Million.Hell last 2 failed to hit 150 Million domesticly.

Look at how amazing Spider-man did.It did more that Last stand did.The fact It
Is struggling to hit 200 Million and DOFP passed it shows spider-man is in serious trouble.

It would be nicer to get DOFP closer to WS domestic box office.

So with that drop the rest of the way, its look like overseas finish around $485-495M depending on how much Venezuela gives us. $500M might be too much.

Yep that drop was pretty big which is understandable. I thought it would hit at least hit 20mil.

Expected a worse drop seeing China's daily grosses, looks like the other territories are holding up better. (It dropped 57% last weekend, which means the drop in territories not counting China is better than last weekend slightly.)

True, if you were to exclude China from the past two weeks totals. The drops are around 52% and 48%.

10m in Venezuela would be cool, but not sure about it right now

I think it would be more satisfactory if DOFP did so well without ASM2 doing so poorly. As the case is right now, DOFP is only "winning" because ASM2 sucked so hard. So I don't think it's fair at all to lambast one and to praise another. Both can do so much better domestically.

And both are doing stellar numbers OS. So I disagree, it's not only ASM2 that's being "saved" by Overseas numbers. DOFP too is, as well.

Winning is winning :woot:

good point, and I agree

DOFP really should have done around 250mil domestically no doubt but it has shown growth from it's predecessor while Spider-Man has not.

With those reviews and the hype, I agree. :o

I think that DOFP will be the #1 CBM worldwide in 2014. Totally deserves it.

If it drops 50% each week for the next few and Venezuela does do $10million it may hit 500 right on the dot. It should do between 490-505 I think
