Hmmm...apparently Amazing Spidey 2 trailer will be attached to Thor and Hunger Games.
Now it depends on whether fox want to try and beat the spidercrowd or go for the Hobbit if this is true.
beast/hank has strong legs, obviously he can jump high, run fast
be happy his mutant powers aint just hands on his feet
yeah I don't think they made him look superspeed just enhanced athletic abilities. I guess it is hard to make someone look like they are super athletic without either making them super speed or look just like a regular human who can run fast. I think it was a good in the middle type of thing
To be honest, Beast should have looked a bit bulkier and we could have seen the human version running along walls and corridors like Victor Creed did in Origins. That's the sort of thing Beast does and the human version used to do it too. He was also quite acrobatic. Speedy running was never shown as one of his typical behaviours so it was a little odd.
This is why I am happy that Singer has gone for a bulkier approach to Hoult. This new Beast looks so much better imo.
Hank being able to run fast is fine for me personally, i don't see the problem, i can see quicksilver being alot faster so hanks speed is mild in comparison, i'm interested to see how its done with quicksilver
Beast has never done fast running. If anything, he's moved on all fours like an ape. It did feel a little odd as a scene, but was done for comparison against Xavier so we got the sense he had learned something from the training.
its about momentum really
for hanks build in FC it probably does make sense he could run faster then norman people and jump higher, he wasn't ape like as hank even though he got abit like that and stronger when he become beast
but then X3s beast wasn't ape like he was always standing up straight
It'll be interesting to see the battle between beast and magneto in this film,, and see if there are any similarities between hoults beast and grammers!
I really liked beast in TLS and though Kelsey was perfect so hope they respect his version! And it would help the continuity for sure!
Holts said he watched alot of frasier before doing FC to be like kelseys beast
But saying that singer has said these characters can't grow up to fast so he won't be exactly like him
i think "i was a very different man" from the teaser will pretty much count for most the FC characters, its about their journey to become who they become
IA Kelsey Grammar's Beast was fantastic. Flawless casting.
I too am looking forward to that fight. It's not often you that see Magneto get pounded.
True, but like with JLaws Mystique, I wonder if it will be another step towards the OT versions and developing towards what they will become
He hasn't got superspeed but he'll be significantly faster than any human.
saw the rumour too. Its likely Fox will do the same.
at the end of the day, I dont care what movie they attach it to, since the trailer will be shown over the next months on different movies.
What I want the most is the trailer to be really good and to get many new viewers interested in the movie and cast.
I'm just excited for the longer arms extensions.
Bryan Singer seems to be having some interesting hollydays after filming ended.
I guess he hasnt been working all these latest week. Hopefully Ottman is already editing the movie (since Bryan suggested that he uses to edite while filming). And of course the special-effects houses will have improved some stuff these latest weeks too.
The scene in FC wasn't super speed? Come on now.
I'm glad my little snide comment got this conversation going.
As you said it was rather odd for Vaughn to show him with his super speed scene and to never use it again. Then again, that could be a good thing, meaning they don't have to commit to that ability in future instalments of the franchise.
I just feel that Holt just did not embody anything close to how Beast should be. I'm still waiting for him to make me believe that he's Hank McCoy. That said, he does look 1000x better with the new make-up!
Beast was one of the bright spots of X3!
Fox will attach their X-Men trailer for Hunger Games and Thor as well. They would be crazy not too. Especially the Marvel connection of Thor and the Jennifer Lawrence connection for Hunger games.
What movies was The Wolverine trailers attached to? Doesn't really matter, it seemed like the Fox Marketing Department was slacking when it came to marketing that movie. They got only themselves to blame for it's low box office take...
It was first attached to G.I Joe Retaliation. In my opinion, they should have released it earlier and bought an ad spot for the superbowl. And people were disagreeing with me, that a superbowl ad isn't needed, that the FOX will just let Wolverine's appeal do all the marketing and now look at the domestic gross of TW.
And the thing with DOFP's trailer is if they gonna release it in cinemas, it should debut with a big movie that is going to be seen by a lot of people.
I'm pretty sure with Thor 2, the last trailer that they will be shown before the movie starts is Cap 2. Thats what happened with Iron Man 3/the trailer of Thor 2. I actually didn't see a trailer for The Wolverine when I saw Iron Man 3. With Hunger Games, there's more chance that DOFP will be the last trailer that will be shown before the movie starts.
I think tw trailer didnt release until January or February of 2013 I hope fox doesn't wait that long for dofp
The trailer was released in late March.
Actually, the argument against the Super Bowl spot was that $4 million dollars could have been better spent elsewhere, and that still holds true, even moreso now. Early awareness wasn't The Wolverine's problem. Overcoming X-Men Origins was, and the trailers failed to do that and would have no matter when they were released.
Given the marketing campaign, what would a Super Bowl spot have accomplished? Get the word out earlier that The Wolverine is a movie people don't want to see? Would the undoubtedly even worse effects of an already questionable looking bullet train sequence have convinced people otherwise? Doubtful. Would it have changed the Japan storyline into something people would have been more interested in? No. Give the movie more star power? No. People just didn't care enough, and no Super Bowl spot was going to change that to the extent The Wolverine would have performed that much better. Want proof? Look at The Lone Ranger. Disney wasted millions upon millions of dollars on a 30 second spot AND an extended trailer, and the movie still bombed.
