DC and Marvel Films

I am not trying to start a debate of any sorts about this and I am asking about the movies not the comics themselves; but I was just wondering if it is true that films based on Marvel comics generally do better than films based on DC comics?

Xmen, Blade, Spiderman, Fantastic Four
vs
Batman and Superman

It's an unfair argument, since at this point Marvel has more films to go by.

I don't know about how well they do (sales) but DC movies and especially cartoons are generally of higher quality, though I think Hulk and Thor were better at depicting actual comic book characters than any of the DC films.
