Story: Taking place a month after the events of Batman Begins ,Mr Earle ,the recently dismissed Wayne Enterprises C.E.O, is found slain in his penthouse apartment. All physical evidence ,including surveillance footage, and alleged eye witnesses, point to Billionaire playboy Bruce Wayne as the culprit. Unfortunately, Bruce doesn't have a viable alibi, since he was chasing down the remaining escaped inmates at Arkham Asylum as Batman, when the crime could have taken place.

As the case draws more an more scrutiny to Bruce's lifestyle, and begins to hamper his efforts as Batman, Bruce calls upon defense council Matt Murdock to take the case. Soon ,Murdock realizes the hallmarks of the murder seem all too familiar, and he believes Wayne is being set up by someone with deep pockets . At the same time, he feels knows the irresponsible playboy isn't on the level. All the while, Wayne also begins to suspect his new attorney is more than meets the eye. Before long, Bruce and Matt's alter ego's will meet as the discover themselves on the same trail of the true mastermind pulling all the strings.

The question is how benefits from setting Wayne up and why do they want him out of the way? The answers will take the Dark Knight and The Daredevil through a labyrinth of underworld figures, corrupt Politicians, ruthless assassins , and The Scarecrow, who will make The Man Without Fear faces his own inner demons. All of this , on the eve of one of the most important elections for District Attorney in Gotham City's history, which the puppet master intends on controlling the outcome.

The vague story I have would have to do with some confusion about who the King of Atlantis would be with both families and factions, on both characters ends claiming they have rightful control of Atlantis.

So , I could see it being a war for the crown type of deal .

It'd be pretty wild..

In terms of who'd win, I'd have it be a draw and both sides would eventually team up to take on Black Manta and Krang.

That's a rough idea at least.

Only Fairbanks Zorro (silent era) might have been a bit out their game by then, Zorro however at the time did have a then modern era pulp version, Descendant of Fairbanks character played by John (Julian Lafaye) Carroll , closer in age and era that might have fit even better with the more hardboiled, mobsters and tommy-guns era cast and setting.

As for making it an actual DC Universe character pulp-noir property film, using your same cast, you can sub sevral for actual DC comics heroes:

The Shadow sub: Dr. Occult - Orson Wells
The Green Hornet & Kato sub: Crimson Avenger and Wing - Humprey Bogart & Keye Luke
The Spirit: sub Phantom Stranger - Gary Cooper

Zorro sub: El Diablo (supernatural western version)- Gilbert Roland

I also did a series of pulp hero films with the 1990s actors who played The Shadow, The Phantom, Dick Tracy, The Rocketeer, Zorro, Green Hornet and Kato set from the 1940s through the 1970s.

They're somewhere in this thread . I've done so many posts that I've forgot where they are.

I used some of the Alex Ross Masks art as posters basically but I haven't read it yet . I'm definitely intrigued .

You've also made a good DC hero cast with the golden age actors. There's actually some good renderings of Cary Grant as Batman
