Plot:

After the events of Batman Returns , Bruce Wayne is reconciling from the fall of Harvey Dent who after being scarred in the face , has become the ruthless psychopath known as Two Face.

A new costumed villain known as The Riddler has allied himself with Two Face and wants to solve the biggest riddle , Who is Batman ??

Bruce Wayne also adopts an orphaned boy called Dick Grayson who he plans to train as his sucessor.

Project History
In the aftermath of the successful , yet mixed reception of Batman Returns, Tim Burton parts ways with Warner Brothers and the Batman franchise.

At the same time , Warner Brothers is still eager to get a new Superman, Wonder Woman, and Flash film, off of the ground.
In the early 90s, the studio seems at a crossroads with several of it's DC properties.

However, it's Producer Jon Peters, who comes up with the idea of a Justice League film that would not only rejuvenate the Batman Franchise, but also provide a platform and introduction of new versions of Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, and The Green Lantern.

If the JLA film were to be a success, each of the heroes would be spun off into their own solo films , in addition to producing a long awaited ,third Batman film .
The plan is risky, but given the constant rewrites of the Superman 5 script, and the stalling of Wonder Woman and Flash scripts, the idea of a big budget, JLA 1990s blockbuster,
could be quite lucarative .

Directors like Spielberg, Zemeckis, and John McTiernan are all thrown around as potential helmers of the sprawling project, But it is director Joel Schumacher who ultimately ends up with the directing duties.

Meanwhile , Jon Peters joins the project as producer , with screenwriters David Koepp and Lee and Janet Scott Batchler hired to pen the script.

The plans for a JLA film cause a level of excitement in fandom not seen in several years since Batman 1989 , and the news media speculates about who will take over the mantles of the iconic DC comics characters.
The film goes into production in 1994 for a 1996 release date, 4 years after the release of Batman Returns and 9 years after the last Superman film .

Story
The story would be set in the same continuity of the Burton films , and would feature a veteran Batman , uniting with a rookie Superman ,Wonder Woman, Flash, Aquaman , Green Lantern, and Aquaman , to stop the extraterrestrial super computer, Brainiac , from invading Earth.

The film would find Batman retired after the events of Batman Returns, only to be forced into action due to the Global threat of Brainiac's computer viruses which disable much of the computer defense systems of the Great Powers Militaries.

Wonder Woman, in the script, would already be an established hero , though it would be clear she would not be the Lynda Carter version from the 1970s series.

Superman would only have been operating for a couple of years in Metropolis , without having faced a major global threat yet .
Aquaman would be an urban myth and legend who would finally reveal himself to the surface world in the wake of Brainiac's threat.

Meanwhile , The Flash , Wally West , would have only recently inherited the mantle from his late brother in law , while Jon Stewart would have been operating for a few years as The Green Lantern.

It was decided to ultilize West and Stewart instead of Allen and Jordan since West and Stewart were the featured heroes in the current comics .
The use of Wally West also served to distinguiish this version of the Flash, from the TV version which had been canceled a few years earlier.

The script would feature Lex Luthor as a CEO of Lexcorp , reflecting the current comics, in addition to Lois Lane and Alfred Pennyworth in supporting roles.

After defeating Brainiac , the group of heroes would be awarded the medal of freedom and the Justice League Of America would be formed , to serve as watchful protectors ,
should another global threat justify a rapid response force.

The film was to be more akin to 90s Blockbusters like The Rock, Independence Day, and Armageddon in contrast to the more somber Batman Returns.
Peter's wanted a blockbuster spectacle that would bring in audiences from all ages , and that would be as big as a success as Jurassic Park .

Casting

BATMAN/ BRUCE WAYNE
Though Keaton had been wary of making another appearance as Batman, he ultimately agrees to taking on the role again.
With the character having much more of a leadership role in the film, and dealing with a middle aged Bruce at a crossroads and questioning his usefulness,
Keaton feels there's alot to chew on with Batman this time around.

SUPERMAN/ CLARK KENT
While Rocketeer actor Billy Campbell is considered for the role , Schumacher wants a younger actor unassociated with another Comicbook Role.
Keanu Reeves is also approached but turns the part down due to fear of being typecast .
Instead , it's Brenden Fraser who is cast as the new Man Of Steel after a chemistry screentest with Michael Keaton.

AQUAMAN/ ARTHUR CURRY
For the role of Aquaman, Schumacher , once again, has only one choice , Brad Pitt , one of the decades most sought after actors.
The actor agrees to join the assemble cast .

WONDER WOMAN/ DIANA PRINCE
For the role of Wonder Woman , Schumacher and Peters want an lesser known actress in the tradition of Lynda Carter
Schumacher casts Goldeneye actress Famke Janssen to play the amazon warrior.
The 6ft actress impresses Schumacher with her imposing physical presence in addition to her onscreen charm and sex appeal .

FLASH/ WALLY WEST
For the role of Wally West , Schumacher casts Reality Bites actor Ethan Hawke , feeling that Hawke a youthful optimism combine with wisdom in playing the new Flash.

Boyz N The Hood actor Cuba Gooding Jr. is cast as John Stewart though actors Omar Epps and Morris Chesnut are considered for the part .

For the role of Superman and JLA enemy Brainiac , Ralph Fiennes, hot off of several acclaimed feature films of the 1990s, agrees to play the enigmatic DC villain.

Project History
The Success of The JLA film , resulted in audiences hungering for another solo Batman film starring Michael Keaton.
With the head of steam from a hit film behind them, WB finally greenlights plans for Batman 3, entitled Batman Continues.
However, the studio is still resistant to the idea of Tim Burton returning .
The studio wants an action packed follow up to the hit JLA film and not another Batman Returns.

While Schumacher is asked to direct the third Batman film, he passes in order to focus on other projects .
Instead, the directors chair for Batman Continues goes to director Wolfgang Peterson of In The Line Of Fire.
The plan is to tell more of a psychological thriller with big action set pieces , and to tell a more personal story about Bruce's fall then rise .
Andrew Kevin Walker is brought on to pen the script , while Jon Peters returns as Producer , in addition to Danny Elfman returning as composer.

The film begins shooting in 1997 for a 1998 release date.

Screenplay
Peterson and Walker forgo tackling the Riddler , as was long rumored to be the case, and instead want to tackle the recent Knightfall and Knightquest run of DC Comics.
Bane , of course would be the film's main antagonist .
Bane would orchestrate a breakout of Arkham Asylum's inmates forcing the Dark Knight to work over time rounding up the criminals as they descend on Gotham.
However, as the dark knight is worn down , he must confront Bane, who beats him in combat , then breaks his back.

With Bane taking control of Gotham, and Batman out of commission , Batgirl would arrive on the scene to try to save Gotham in Batman's absence.
However, the mission becomes too big for even Batgirl to handle and she must seek out the help of a beaten and depressed Bruce who feels he's failed and can't stop Bane.
Batgirl , however, pushes Bruce to find the will to fight again and helps him recover over several months.
In the process, the two heroes fall in love , and through Barbara Gordon, Batman finds new inspiration and reason to continue .

Eventually Batman would rebuild himself and with Batgirl, capture the remaining super criminals loose in Gotham and would face Bane in a final showdown, with the Dark Knight victorious.
Peace and Order would be restored in Gotham, and for the first time, Batman would have a partner at his side , defending the city from all manor of evil.

The film would feature characters such as Riddler, Two Face, Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy, and Scarecrow with the plan of setting the characters up to appear in sequels.

With WB execs impressed by Fraser's performance on the set of JLA , the studio feels confident enough to greenlight a solo Superman film starring Fraser and Bullock.

Independence Day director, Roland Emmerich , signs on to helm the project , with Jerry Bruickheimer serving as the film's producer .


Story
Taking place a year after the events of JL, Brainiac's appearance would bring a new level of scrutiny to the Man Of Steel and his alien origins by the media.

Consequently, The past and the present would haunt the Man Of Steel as an enemy of Clark Kent ,and an Enemy of Superman, unite after they discover they have a common foe.

As Superman battles Livewire , who blames him for her transformation, he must also contend with Conduit, an old bully from Smallville whose figured out that Clark Kent is Superman.

As the Bonnie and Clyde- like couple force the man of steel to protect the ones he cares about, the two foes threaten to expose who Superman really is , to the world.

From the streets of Metropolis , to the city of Smallville, Superman will have to fight not only for his family,

He'll have to fight for his freedom.


Though characters like Zod and Metallo are originally considered for the film , Producers don't want another Alien villain just yet , and they feel Metallo is too similar to The Terminator.

Instead , they go to two recent villains, in hopes of pitting Superman against two lovers akin to Bonnie and Clyde, both of which , threaten the two lives Clark has been leading.

Project History
With the success of the first two Superman films , Warner Brothers and The Salkinds begin work on crafting not only the next Superman film, but doing something revolutionary:
creating their own DC Comics cinematic universe .
Having built the world in the first two films , Superman Legacy , would pit the Man Of Steel against Metallo and Brainiac , while also featuring the introduction of Bruce Wayne , in a supporting role.
While the Salkind's originally considered Supergirl and Mr. Mythplix for the film, they ultimately think better and decide to play with the idea of computers, robots, and technology, as a substitute for the human will and know how.

With the bridges already burned with Richard Donner, and Richard Lester wanting to move onto other projects , The Salkind's court directors such as Steven Spielberg to direct the next film.
However , it's The Wrath Of Khan director , Nicholas Meyer , who agrees to direct the motion picture , with Chris Reeves once again reprising his role as Superman and Clark Kent, in addition to the rest of the supporting cast returning.

Filming once again commences in London's Pinewood Studios and in Locations in New York and Los Angeles in 1982 , with the long production stretching into 1983 , for a 1984 release date.

Story
Taking place a few years after Superman 2 , America is still rebuilding and recovering from Zod's invasion , and anti Superman sentiment begins to take shape in several quarters.
At the same time, Secreatary of Defense , Sam Lane , enraged by the Man Of Steel's absence and the threat to his daughter's life proposes a fail safe against Superman and any of his Kryptonian kind.
Project Metallo is a cybornetic , super soilder program which would turn America's best Navy Seals into cyber enhanced weapons of war which would act as a check on Superman and a deterrance, to future Kryptonian threats .
Chosen for the program, is John Corbin, Sam Lane's best seal, and Lois Lane's former Boyfriend.

As Corbin presents a real threat to Superman , he also poses a romantic threat to Clark Kent , as he pursues the now Single Lois Lane, whose tired of sharing Superman with the world, and wants to move on.
As Metallo becomes America's new hero , and the world questions Superman exestence, the Metallo's Programing is corrupted by a true extraterrestial threat Brainiac.
Metallo then falls under the control of the Alien , to become an unwitting tool, in his capture of Superman.

Now , the Man Of Steel must not only confront the true threat to America but also America's greatest weapon .

Aside from dueling with the two new threats, the film would delve into Clark's regret about walking away from Lois , and with the public's growing discontent with Superman,
and Lois Lane rekindled romance with Corbin aka Metallo, Clark would wonder if his sacrifice, was ultimately worth it.

The film would also give more insight into Lois Lane's past , in particular , her relationship with her father Sam and her former fiancée, who she left at the alter before the events of Superman 78.

In a subplot, The Daily Planet would face pressure for it's years of pro Superman coverage, and would be at risk of being purchased.

Millionare Humanitarian Bruce Wayne would be featured in a minor role as an advocate, and cheerleader for the increasingly wary Superman , even holding a fundraiser to save The Daily Planet , and encouraging Superman to continue dispite the protests and US Government pressure.
In the end , the world would be reminded once again why it needs a Superman , as he destroys Brainiac and the Metallo program is discontinued .

Further , The Daily Planet is saved thanks to Bruce's efforts , and Perry White is guranteed to remain Editor in Chief .
Superman now has a new friend an allie in high places , as Bruce invites the Man Of Steel to visit Gotham sometime, thus , setting the stage for a future Batman and Superman team up, in addition to setting the ground for a solo Batman film.

And ultimately, Superman determines that he'd rather be with Lois , despite all of the risks, and that he will find a way to make their relationship work.

Casting

BRAINIAC
For the role of Brainiac a variety of actors from Christopher Walken, Christopher Lloyd , John Wood, to Rutger Hauer are all considered , but producers ultimately cast John Lithgow,
for his charismatic pressence and imposing stature .
Lithgow is able to bring an intellectual and sadistic side to the classic Superman villain, and at 6'4 is a physical match for Reeves's Superman.

METALLO
For the role of Metallo , the film's secondary villain , character actor Martin Kove is cast , who plays up the dark mirror image as America's Man Of Steel ,
who can take on the threats in a much more efficient and deadly way.

BRUCE WAYNE
For the role of the Millionare Industrialist and Humanintarian, the producers want a Big name actor with star power and charisma .
Warren Beatty and Robert Redford or both approached , but flatly reject the role , and producers circle James Brolin as a potential Bruce Wayne should all else fail.
In a casting coupe , Harrison Ford is approached , to take on the role in what is expected to be Spielberg's The Batman slated for 1985.

SAM LANE
For the role of Sam Lane , producers only choice is George C Scott , who agrees to take on the part of the third anatagoinist and obstacle to Superman's relationship with Lois.

ALFRED PENNYWORTH
The role of Bruce's loyal butler Alfred , would be played memorably by John Giulgud hot off of his Oscar worthy performance in Arthur .

Project History
In the Aftermath of Batman Forever's success , work on a Batman 4 quickly begins, though it becomes clear Kilmer won't be returning to the cape and cowl.
While several actors such as David Duchovny are considered , Warner Brothers is wary of putting a third actor into the Batsuit .
With Jon Peters , once again, returning to the series , Peters suggests getting Keaton back again and offering him as much money as he wants.

WB execs agree that the best route to go , regardless of Schumacher's preference, is to have Keaton return to the part for a third film.
With the production of the film being delayed for a 1998 release date , Peters and Schumacher attempt to woo Keaton back to the role.
While Keaton is fearful of being overshadowed in an overstuffed, Campy, Batman film , Schumacher assures the actor that the new film will be far more serious than Batman Forever.

Keaton eventually agrees to return with not only a pay increase , but script approval .
With Jon Peters once again taking the producer role , Peters agrees and Akiva Goldsmith's script is tossed out all together and Andrew Kevin Walker is brought in to script the film.
With Chris O'Donnell returning as Robin , the film begins shooting in Los Angeles and New York in 1997 for a 1998 release date.


Story
With Keaton now back on board , and the actors script veto power , much of Goldsmith and Schumacher's initial ideas for Batman 4 are tossed out, and the script undergoes a major overhaul.
While themes of life and death remain , Mr. Freeze would be a pawn of the film's central villain , Ras Al Ghul, who would promise eternal life, and resurrection, not only for Nora Fries, but for the dying Alfred Pennyworth as well.
With Freeze under the Demon's thumb , he would be portrayed as a man desperate to go to any lengths to save his wife , even if it meant making a deal with the devil.

In this case , the devil's ultimate prize would be the Batman , for whom he would want to inherit his thrown .
Ra's would be able to save Bruce and Dick surrogate father , but at the price of Bruce inheriting the criminal mantle .

In this sense , Batman and Mr. Freeze would both find themselves in very similar circumstances , with each at the mercy of Ras , and both doing what they feel is best to save the ones they love.

With Ivy out of the picture ,Goldsmith's idea of Bruce and Dick at each others throats would go out the window , and instead the film would see the pair bonding as father and son over the potential loss of Alfred .

Taking Ivy's place would be Talia, who , in this iteration is opposed to her father, and works on the outside in terms of bringing the League Of Assassins down.
She play the role of Bruce's love interest and would take the Batgirl role of aiding the Caped Crusaders.

Bruce of course, would have to confront his own mortality as he grapples with the idea of a life without Alfred , while Talia offers him a chance at being happy .

The story would take a much more serious turn than Forever with Keaton involved and with Andrew Kevin Walker penning the script .
However , Warner Brothers, feeling confident in Schumacher's abilities and relieved with Keaton returning , greenlights the new script and tone direction.


Casting

RAS AL GHUL
For the role of the film's puppet master , Schumacher wants an established actor with gravitas .
While Sean Connery is approached , the actor turns the role down . As per usual , Schumacher swings for the fences and approaches Anthony Hopkins for the role .
While Hopkins is originally considered for Mr. Freeze, Peters and Schumacher both think the he would be better suited for Ras Al Ghul instead.
The Academy Award Winning actor agrees to the role and signs a multi picture deal.

MR. FREEZE
While Schumacher originally wants Arnold Schwarzenegger, the window for casting him closes as the Production is delayed .
Instead , Schumacher decides to go a radically different direction and approach Oscar thesp Daniel Day Lewis for the role .
The actor , whose famously selective in his roles, at first, rejects the offer not wanting to be apart of a campy comicbook film.
However , the actor is eventually convinced by the emotional hook and the complexity of Victor Fries .

Peter's also likes that Lewis and Keaton are mirror images of each other and likes the dynamic of Batman facing a man with the same will and drive that he has.
Lewis eventually agrees and signs on, in a move that stuns Hollywood.

TALIA AL GHUL
For the role of Ras daughter , Schumacher casts his former leading lady and one time Poison Ivy runner up , Demi Moore .
Hot off of a string of hits in the 90s , Schumacher feels Moore is perfect for the role of the ambiguous and independent, Talia .

Hard to see Talia outright opposing her father but Demi Moore would be really good and fitting as her. Hopkins is suggested a lot for Mr. Freeze and almost seems too obvious for him, could be really good as Ra's, indeed demonic and probably pretty grandly so yet also grounded enough, at least credible.

Could be really strong contrast and clash between Keaton Batman and Day-Lewis as Freeze including with Day-Lewis comic off as really strongly tragic and going from friendly to real driven-dark.

After the success of Superman III, the producers are eager to sign Reeve up for further adventures with the Man of Steel.
Besides negotiating a respectable bump in pay, Reeve signs on with the condition that he gets approval over the story AND a chance to direct.
Reeve and the producers also agree to take their time developing the story, hoping to avoid production issues of previous installments. In the meantime, Reeve gets behind the camera for his first feature in preparation for taking the helm on Superman as director AND star, while the producers and WB fasttrack the Supergirl sequel to maintain interest in the series.

The film’s marketing shows off the kind of action-packed global adventure that fans have come to expect, but critics and audiences are surprised at a more thoughtful, emotional, and character-focused story giving new depths to the hero’s humanity.

Plot:
In the wake of a painful loss, the Man of Steel launches a crusade for global nuclear disarmament.
His efforts ruffle the feathers of many, from world leaders to new and returning enemies, as well as Lois Lane’s army general father.

Project history:
With the cast getting older and eager to move onto other projects, it is agreed that Part V will serve as the finale to the film series.

The producers are initially reluctant to reach out to Richard Donner, who is in the midst of a directorial hot streak. However Reeve, the cast, and the writers urge the Salkinds to bury the hatchet with Donner and offer him the chance to return to the director’s chair, suggesting that it’s their best bet to bring out the ambitious sequel’s full potential.

The producers agree to Donner’s stipulations of full creative control, and allowing the director to complete the fabled “Donner Cut” for home video release, which also helps build anticipation for the final film.

Brainiac had been suggested for the next villain as far back as Superman III, but other ideas had won out instead. All parties unanimously decide that the alien antagonist is a great fit for a series-ending (and world-ending) adversary.

A variety of high-profile actors audition for Brainiac, including Alan Rickman, Julian Sands, Doug Bradley, David Bowie, and Peter Weller. The role ultimately goes to Puerto Rican stage-and-screen legend Raul Julia.

The rumors of Donner and Reeve butting heads does little to dampen the hype. Commanding the biggest budget of the franchise and an over 3-hour runtime, the marketing promises the epic, no-holds-barred conclusion of the Superman saga.

Story:
Between the sound of wedding bells and cutting the ribbon on the brand new Krypton Cultural Center in the heart of Metropolis, life is good for the Man of Steel.
But a distress signal from the lost Kryptonian colony of Argos interrupts the celebrations, heralding the threat of an extra-terrestrial menace with a connection to Krypton’s past.
The embittered Lex Luthor makes first contact with Brainiac, a mysterious bio-mechanical adversary from the far reaches of the cosmos, whose intellect and thirst for power exceeds even his own. Project History
With Superman Lives floundering in development , and several Batman scripts ending up on the shelf, Producer Jon Peters proposes moving forward with
Andrew Kevin Walker's Batman Vs Superman script .
However , Peters proposes that instead of Wolfgang Peterson , that Warner Brothers instead should attempt to get Tim Burton , Michael Keaton, and Nicholas Cage all on board.

Instead of moving ahead with Superman Lives, it's decided to instead introduce Cage's Superman in the BvS film , and to revive Keaton's Batman instead of casting yet a third actor
in the part.

While some execs are intrigued at the idea of getting hot young Hollywood talent like Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Jude Law , or Colin Farrell involved,
The idea of Keaton returning to the Batcave and Nicholas Cage playing Superman seemed like a much more interesting and financially stable gamble.

While Peterson remains on standby as a potential director , Peter's approaches Burton to direct Batman Vs Superman.
While the direct is burnt out by several years of development of Superman Lives, he's nevertheless interested in working with Keaton again,
and like's the idea of his Batman and his Superman meeting and clashing .

The director agrees to helm the project and finally shelve Superman Lives for the time being .
With Burton back on board , Keaton agrees to sign onto the project.

Nic Cage however, is reluctant feeling burned by the Superman Lives development process .
However, Jon Peters is able to convince Cage that he would finally get the opportunity to portray The Man Of Steel.

With John Malcovich sigining on to play Lex Luthor , and Ashley Judd cast as Lois Lane , the rest of the cast includes Charlize Theron as Mercy Graves, and Gretchen Mol as Bruce Wayne's ill fated fiancee.

Having worked with Burton before on Sleepy Hollow, Andrew Kevin Walker works closely with Burton to retool the script .

Filming begins in 2002, for a 2003 release date.

Story
While the basic story of Andrew Kevin Walker's original script remains , there are drastic changes to the details.

Taking place a decade after Batman Returns, a now retired Bruce Wayne preparing to marry his longtime Fiancée Elizabeth , having hung up the cape and cowl for good several years prior to the film.

Superman is an established hero , who , like Batman , has operated for several years, and is the symbol of hope in the world.

At the moment, Superman aka Clark Kent, is at risk of losing his relationship with Lois Lane as he's continued to keep his true identity from her.
Unlike early versions of the script , the Lana Lang is absent from the script , in favor of dealing with the complicated relationship dynamics of Lois and Clark .

As in the original script , it is established that Bruce and Clark are friends and have known each other several years .
Clark serves as Bruce's best man , and Bruce urges Clark to tell Lois the truth about his alter ego .

As in the original script , Bruce's happy nuptials are dashed, as Elizabeth the target of murder, on their wedding night.

Burton, feeling the Joker clone storyline from earlier drafts, is "lame" , drops the idea of using Joker as a catalyst for Batman's vengeance.
Instead , the killer would be unknown .

Elizabeth's murder sends Bruce over the edge, as he reclaims the Batman mantle, in a relentless search for the assassin.

Eventually, the caped crusader discovers that the assassin is Mercy Graves , Lex Luthor's own private , " problem eliminator ", whom the script describes as an Amazon , who isn't afraid to get her hands dirty .

After brutal fight with the Dark Knight, in which Mercy holds her own , she admits that his business rival , Luthor, is behind Elizabeth's murder .

When the Dark Knight comes to Metropolis and wages an all out war on Luthor, and on the verge of killing him , he's stopped by The Man Of Steel .

Superman now finds himself in the ironic position of having to stop his dear friend, from killing one of Clark's, worse enemies .

As the two heroes are locked in conflict , Lois Lane discovers that Lex orchestrated the whole conflict as a means of getting his two potential threats to destroy each other,
in order to prevent them from serving as barriers to his Presidential ambitions.

In the end the two heroes would eventually come to a truce and work to take down Lex Luthor once and for all.

As a new Superman film appears to go nowhere , creator Joss Whedon argues that instead of doing Superman Lives,
Warner Brothers should capitilize on the success of youth oriented of films like Scream, Clueless , and The Craft , by doing a Superboy film.

That film would then establish the world of a new eventual Superman film going forward .
With the film aimed at teens and preteens , the target audience would grow with the boy of steel and follow him into future adventures.

The prospect of a younger and hipper, GenX, Superboy was appealing to WB suits , and Kevin Williamson is brought on as director.

Williamson and Whedon work together on penning a an action packed teen love on the run adventure with Superman and Lana at the center of it,
With General Sam Lane as the film's villain.

Whedon's plot is structured in the form of a John Hughes esque coming of age story.
The script plants the seeds of potential future films with producers already seeing this as the film to kick off a potential franchise

The film begins production in 1998 for a 1999 release date to celebrate Superman's 61th anniversary .

Story
17 year old Clark's life was already complicated
between falling behind in his grades
Fighting with his Dad over joining the football team,
And being a Superhero , forced to hide his identity from the world , Clark is already in over his head.

But when the US Military descends on Smallville Kansas in search of a craft which crashed their 16 years earlier ,
Smallville goes into a panic as suspision and paranioa abound about aliens living among them .

As the trail leads closer to Clark , Young Kent and Lana Lang will become two young lovers on the run
One step ahead of the General and another step ahead of his biggest fan,
Who will grow to become his worse enemy .

With the Success of Superboy , WB scraps their plans for a Bruce Wayne TV series , and instead, wants to bring the idea of a rookie vigilante to the big screen .
It's decided that the film would be a reboot , like Superboy, and would eventually pave the way for a new series of Batman films.

Jon Peters , once again, would return as Producer after his success with Superboy .
Execs first jump to the idea of Kevin Williamson as director but he passes , feeling that a young Batman story needs a different voice and flavor .

Jon Peters turns to British director Danny Boyle to bring a much more moody and gothic , gen-X Dark Knight story.
Unlike Batman and Robin , the cast would be made up mostly of relative unknowns, and would be shot exclusively in the London.
With a much lower budget and with screenwriter Andrew Kevin Walker , the movie begins shooting in 1999, for a Summer 2000 release date.

Story
As a 21 year old Bruce Wayne Returns home from traveling the world,
He knows his mission , but his plans are derailed after meeting the captivating Silver St Cloud .

But as a serial killer stalks the streets of Gotham, and Silver becomes the object of the killers obsession,
An inexperience, and unprepared Bruce must jump into action with everything he's learned ,
in order to save her.

But as the young vigilante gets closer to the serial killer, he'll soon become the prey.

Now , the hope is to eventually crossover the characters in a single Justice League film .

The next character whom WB greenlights is a young Wonder Woman tale .
While Whedon wants to be on the project as director, the studio is still uneasy about the idea of him directing a major property.
Instead , director Tony Scott takes on the directing duties .

The story would take place several years before Steve Trevor crash lands on Paradise Island , though the setting would be contemporary times as opposed to
the 1940s .

As Ares and Artemis form an alliance to conqueror the world of man with an Amazonian army,

Project History
As a new Superman film appears to go nowhere , creator Joss Whedon argues that instead of doing Superman Lives,
Warner Brothers should capitilize on the success of youth oriented of films like Scream, Clueless , and The Craft , by doing a Superboy film.

That film would then establish the world of a new eventual Superman film going forward .
With the film aimed at teens and preteens , the target audience would grow with the boy of steel and follow him into future adventures.

The prospect of a younger and hipper, GenX, Superboy was appealing to WB suits , and Kevin Williamson is brought on as director.

Williamson and Whedon work together on penning a an action packed teen love on the run adventure with Superman and Lana at the center of it,
With General Sam Lane as the film's villain.

Whedon's plot is structured in the form of a John Hughes esque coming of age story.
The script plants the seeds of potential future films with producers already seeing this as the film to kick off a potential franchise

The film begins production in 1998 for a 1999 release date to celebrate Superman's 61th anniversary .

Story
17 year old Clark's life was already complicated
between falling behind in his grades
Fighting with his Dad over joining the football team,
And being a Superhero , forced to hide his identity from the world , Clark is already in over his head.

But when the US Military descends on Smallville Kansas in search of a craft which crashed their 16 years earlier ,
Smallville goes into a panic as suspision and paranioa abound about aliens living among them .

As the trail leads closer to Clark , Young Kent and Lana Lang will become two young lovers on the run
One step ahead of the General and another step ahead of his biggest fan,
Who will grow to become his worse enemy .

The next DC Comics character to receive the youth oriented reboot treatment, is The Flash .
However , it's decided that Wally West , in keeping with the current comics and the Justice League Animated TV series, would be the Scarlett speedster.
The screenplay by David Goyer would be a set in the same universe as the previous teen reboot films with references to events in the other films.
Helming the project would be Rocketeer director Joe Johnston

While greenlighting a young Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman film, seemed odvious, greenlighting a young Aquaman film is a harder sell to WB execs.
Writer David Goyer pitches the idea of downplaying the more campy aspects of the character, and instead ,
Emphasizing the idea of a young man called to a destiny he doesn't want.
That pitch , in addition to the idea of keeping the budget low and nixing the underwater dialog scenes, makes WB execs more confident about greenlighting an Aquaman film.
With Producer Jerry Bruckheimer, and director Stephen Somers at the helm , the project films in Vancouver, and Los Angeles, for a 2002 release date.

Project History
In the Aftermath of Batman Returns , WB is wary of inviting Tim Burton back to helm a third Batman film .
At the same time , Burton wants to do something different with the Batman property and further explore the characters rogues gallery.

The popularity of Mr. Freeze due to his reimagining on Batman The Animated Series , inspires Burton into pitching the idea of a Mr. Freeze,
spin off, solo film .

With a Catwoman film already in development, Burton is interested in telling a much different story focusing on a tragic villain, with Batman only appearing at the end to " stop the monster".
Burton see's the project as more akin to Edward Scissor Hands in which Mr. Freeze serves as the anti hero slash outsider seeking revenge against the true villain,
Ferris Boyle.

The idea intrigues WB Execs given it's lower budget and the popularity of the character from The Animated Series.

With Warner Brothers willing to put plans for Batman 3 on hold for a 1996 release,
Burton helms the project ,with Jon Peters producing .

Story
With Paul Dini consulting on the story , the film is an expanded retelling of Mr. Freeze's origin , covering both his love affair with Nora, and her tragic accident.
When Victor is transformed into the villionous Mr. Freeze, he'll go to any length to achieve the ultimate revenge against his former friend, and boss, Ferris Boyle.

Casting

MR. FREEZE/ VICTOR FRIES
As with the casting of Batman, Burton goes for an outside the box choice as opposed to a leading man actor.
Ultimately, Burton casts actor Willem Dafoe in the role of Victor Fries .

NORA FRIES
For the role of Nora Fries , Burton casts English actress Helena Bonham Carter .
Burton likes her quirky sensibility and feels that she's a perfect fit for the equally quirky Dafoe.

FERRIS DOYLE
For the role of Victors one time friend , turned rival, Burton chooses The Living Daylights actor Jerone Krabbe to play the duplicitous Ferris Doyle .

Project History
Though the original Supergirl film is a major disappointment, The Salkinds still see potential in a Supergirl film franchise and proceed with plans for a 2nd entry.
However, it will mean some major changes and some fence mending .
Warner Brothers studios is willing to pay for the film, but studio execs insist on Christopher Reeve's Superman to have a supporting role and for director Richard Donner to returning in some capacity.

The Salkinds ultimately decide to swallow their pride and they attempt to mend fences with the director.
Though it takes time, Donner agrees to help them shape their Supergirl sequel as Producer , but demands a much stronger level of creative control than with the first two films.

The Salkinds, in a bind, agree to Donner's preconditions , and Donner brings on Superman 1 and 2 writer Tom Mankiewicz to script the film.
In the director's chair is Pretty In Pink and Breakfast Club film maker John Hughes.

Donner feels that the second film should truly have a youthful energy to it and should appeal to girls and young women.

Hughes accepts the directing duties , and with Helen Slater returning in the title role , and Christopher Reeve agreeing to return in a big Brother/ Mentor role as Superman ,
the film goes into production in 1986, for a 1987 release date.

Story
The story would be a new adventure with Supergirl, with the film in essence , being a new story as opposed to containing threads from the first film.

Instead of being a school girl, she would now be an intern at The Daily Planet working along side Jimmy Olsen, and her cousin , Clark.
As Supergirl and Superman begin to bond , she steps into a whole new role as a guardian of peace , and a protector of the Planet Earth.

However , Supergirl's step onto the world stage is threatened by the Alien Creature known as Brainiac , whose obsession with Kara Knows no bounds.

As The Man, and the Girl of Steel, confront Brainiac, they receive help from an unlikely ally, the mysterious Alex Luthor ,whose conflicted about his families complicated history.

As he hides his true lineage , he and Kara begin to fall in love , much to the jealousy of Brainiac.

When Superman is captured by Brainiac , it's up to Supergirl and Alex to use all of their skills to free The Man Of Steel.

With the success of Batman Forever , and the slow development of a Batman 4 script, a solo Robin spin off film goes into active development.
The film would be a smaller scale adventure meant to boost the Robin character and to appeal to teen audiences .
If the film is a success , the plan is to alternate between Batman films and Robin films.

Joel Schumacher would produce the project, with director James Foley helming the project .
With Chris O'Donnell returning in the title role , and Winona Ryder cast as Robin's love interest , Barbara Gordon ,aka Batgirl , the rest of the cast would be made up of lesser known actors .

Filming would begin in 1996 for a 1997 release date , followed by Batman 4 , in 1998.

Story
Taking place a year after the events of Batman Forever, Bruce Wayne leaves for a business trip , leaving Robin aka Dick Grayson ,
alone for the summer to patrol the relatively quiet streets of Gotham.
When Haley's circus returns to town , he runs into his old friends and circus troop lead by the Wiley Werner Zytle.

However , when a series of crimes , led by the Mysterious Count Vertigo force Robin into action
, it soon becomes clear that Count Vertigo is really his old friend, Wiley.
With Vertigo's gang made up of the like's of Robin's old circus friends , Magpie, Firefly, and The Killer Croc ,
The boy wonder is between a rock and a hard place.

However, Robin receives an assist from a new caped Crusader calling herself Batgirl ,
but can this new dynamic duo take down Robin's old friends?

Project History
Nearly 10 years after the television show is off the air there are plans to bring The Batman back to the big screen.
However, the plan is to take the character back to it's roots, and present a gritty , 1970s , noir , thriller, minus the color and camp of the 60s show.

With Clint Eastwood agreeing to star and his frequent collaborator Don Siegal directing , both filmmakers want to peak behind the cowl,
and approach the Batman legend by getting at the heart of Bruce Wayne and the cost of being Batman.

Taking a page from Murder On The Orient Express, the film would feature an all star cast of Hollywood popular leading ladies ,
each playing a former lover of Bruce Wayne in addition to Dustin Hoffman playing The Riddler , Jack Nicholson as The Joker, and Christopher Plummer, as Clayface.


Story
Playing out like a Noir detective story , Bruce Wayne's comes back to haunt him when his former flames are systematically murder.
Now, The Caped Crusader must delve deep into his painful romantic past to discover the potential culprit of the crime.
The lists of suspects is long, but the question remains, is the target of Bruce Wayne , or is it Batman ?

Project History
With the success of the first two Superman films , Warner Brothers and The Salkinds begin work on crafting not only the next Superman film, but doing something revolutionary:
creating their own DC Comics cinematic universe .
Having built the world in the first two films , Superman Legacy , would pit the Man Of Steel against Metallo and Brainiac , while also featuring the introduction of Bruce Wayne , in a supporting role.
While the Salkind's originally considered Supergirl and Mr. Mythplix for the film, they ultimately think better and decide to play with the idea of computers, robots, and technology, as a substitute for the human will and know how.

With the bridges already burned with Richard Donner, and Richard Lester wanting to move onto other projects , The Salkind's court directors such as Steven Spielberg to direct the next film.
However , it's The Wrath Of Khan director , Nicholas Meyer , who agrees to direct the motion picture , with Chris Reeves once again reprising his role as Superman and Clark Kent, in addition to the rest of the supporting cast returning.

Filming once again commences in London's Pinewood Studios and in Locations in New York and Los Angeles in 1982 , with the long production stretching into 1983 , for a 1984 release date.

Story
Taking place a few years after Superman 2 , America is still rebuilding and recovering from Zod's invasion , and anti Superman sentiment begins to take shape in several quarters.
At the same time, Secreatary of Defense , Sam Lane , enraged by the Man Of Steel's absence and the threat to his daughter's life proposes a fail safe against Superman and any of his Kryptonian kind.
Project Metallo is a cybornetic , super soilder program which would turn America's best Navy Seals into cyber enhanced weapons of war which would act as a check on Superman and a deterrance, to future Kryptonian threats .
Chosen for the program, is John Corbin, Sam Lane's best seal, and Lois Lane's former Boyfriend.

As Corbin presents a real threat to Superman , he also poses a romantic threat to Clark Kent , as he pursues the now Single Lois Lane, whose tired of sharing Superman with the world, and wants to move on.
As Metallo becomes America's new hero , and the world questions Superman exestence, the Metallo's Programing is corrupted by a true extraterrestial threat Brainiac.
Metallo then falls under the control of the Alien , to become an unwitting tool, in his capture of Superman.

Now , the Man Of Steel must not only confront the true threat to America but also America's greatest weapon .

Aside from dueling with the two new threats, the film would delve into Clark's regret about walking away from Lois , and with the public's growing discontent with Superman,
and Lois Lane rekindled romance with Corbin aka Metallo, Clark would wonder if his sacrifice, was ultimately worth it.

The film would also give more insight into Lois Lane's past , in particular , her relationship with her father Sam and her former fiancée, who she left at the alter before the events of Superman 78.

In a subplot, The Daily Planet would face pressure for it's years of pro Superman coverage, and would be at risk of being purchased.

Millionare Humanitarian Bruce Wayne would be featured in a minor role as an advocate, and cheerleader for the increasingly wary Superman , even holding a fundraiser to save The Daily Planet , and encouraging Superman to continue dispite the protests and US Government pressure.
In the end , the world would be reminded once again why it needs a Superman , as he destroys Brainiac and the Metallo program is discontinued .

Further , The Daily Planet is saved thanks to Bruce's efforts , and Perry White is guranteed to remain Editor in Chief .
Superman now has a new friend an allie in high places , as Bruce invites the Man Of Steel to visit Gotham sometime, thus , setting the stage for a future Batman and Superman team up, in addition to setting the ground for a solo Batman film.

And ultimately, Superman determines that he'd rather be with Lois , despite all of the risks, and that he will find a way to make their relationship work.

Casting

BRAINIAC
For the role of Brainiac a variety of actors from Christopher Walken, Christopher Lloyd , John Wood, to Rutger Hauer are all considered , but producers ultimately cast John Lithgow,
for his charismatic pressence and imposing stature .
Lithgow is able to bring an intellectual and sadistic side to the classic Superman villain, and at 6'4 is a physical match for Reeves's Superman.

METALLO
For the role of Metallo , the film's secondary villain , character actor Martin Kove is cast , who plays up the dark mirror image as America's Man Of Steel ,
who can take on the threats in a much more efficient and deadly way.

BRUCE WAYNE
For the role of the Millionare Industrialist and Humanintarian, the producers want a Big name actor with star power and charisma .
Warren Beatty and Robert Redford or both approached , but flatly reject the role , and producers circle James Brolin as a potential Bruce Wayne should all else fail.
In a casting coupe , Harrison Ford is approached , to take on the role in what is expected to be Spielberg's The Batman slated for 1985.

SAM LANE
For the role of Sam Lane , producers only choice is George C Scott , who agrees to take on the part of the third anatagoinist and obstacle to Superman's relationship with Lois.

ALFRED PENNYWORTH
The role of Bruce's loyal butler Alfred , would be played memorably by John Giulgud hot off of his Oscar worthy performance in Arthur .

With the success of the third Superman film, and it's introduction of Bruce Wayne , a World's Finest Team Up film starring Harrison Ford and Christopher Reeve, goes into production.
The film is envisioned as a big screen spectacle pitting the Man Of Steel and The Caped Crusader against Lex Luthor and The Joker .

For the massive undertaking , Warner Brothers Studios and The Salkinds want an hit director who can handle a project,
with the scale and scope of Batman and Superman's first big screen team up.

Eventually, Steven Spielberg agrees to helm the massive project in an adventure which balances the verisimilitude of the Donner films,
and the pulp like adventures of Indiana Jones.

Lawrence Kasdan is brought in to pen the screenplay which would see the World's Finest heroes uniting after Lex Luthor and The Joker breakout of prison with several other inmates ,
to take down The Man Of Steel and The Dark Knight once and for all.

The film would feature Silver St. Cloud as Batman's love interest, and the object of both Lex and Joker's obsession, while Robin would remain absent from the film.
While the script originally features Robin , it's decided to save the character for a Batman solo film and to instead make the film a battle between two heroes and two villains.

While several other actors are considered for the role of the Joker, Spielberg choices Robin Williams for his zany contrast to the more serious Gene Hackman.
Daryl Hannah is cast as the sultry Silver St. Cloud, while Paul Newman is cast as James Gordon .

In addition to Superman's regular supporting cast , Ned Beatty would return as Lex Luthor's bumbling right hand, Otis
