I just wanted to ask this again...but why doesnt DC have its own film studios

Even though I know DC doesnt really care about it or at least its not a priority they should make their own films studio under WB...because honestly there is more money to be made in movies than in comics alone through the movie itself, Happy Meals, soundtrack, etc.

and I know they said "DC does the comics, WB does the entertainment they're 2 separate things" but i really dont see the disadvantages to having a DC Studios, if it is still under WB (sort of like Legendary pictures is)

Warner owns all DC-related properties. There's no need for a sub-studio (In their eyes).

^And they're doing a fine job adapting alot of DC comic book characters.

Yes, they are:

Catwoman - Bad.
Constantine - Good.
V for Vendetta - Great.
Batman Begins - Great.
Superman Returns - Good.
The Dark Knight - Great.
Jonah Hex - Great Script.
Green Lantern - Great Script.
Green Arrow: Escape from the Supermax - Good Script.

I believe that's quite a resumee, isn't it?

I'll believe it when I see it. And some of those movies are based on opinion really. For example I think that Constantine wasn't that good, same for V for vendetta and SR is pure crap.

I'm based not only on my opinions, but of friends also. That's the general consensus.

Having a good script is different from a good film
and where do you get all these scripts I didnt even know the Losers and Escape from Supermax had scripts out, only reviews

and also Ya WB makes at least decent superhero movies compared to Marvel Studios but look how long it takes them to make these movies

The Losers doesn't, but, since it's a Sin City style adaptation, and the comics are great, I'd say the Script is also great.

And Supermax is easy to find. Look for it.

well then dont count The Losers as a good script (yet)

and didnt Josh Brolin said that the Jonah Hex script is awful and that he only did it because of "the absurdity of it"

Josh Brolin isn't a comic book fan. And all the fans agreed that Jonah Hex was "A Masterpiece".

WB is a good studio dont get me wrong I just think that since they already have over 20 franchises that a DC studio could help with productivity....but I'm mostly talking outta my ass since I dont know how to run a studio

Yea there is alot of reasons why they dont. Though i dont know what they are. The main reason like others have pointed out since Dc is owned fully by WB, wb doesnt see the need to have its own branch of film division for the dc materials. Though if they did we probably wouldnt have to wait yrs and yrs like we have had for more properties to get out on the big screen or hell even tv.

I want to see the GL script.

^Well its a good thing you didn't ask for the GL script in the GL forum else you would have a GL mod come and tell you to stop asking for the GL script.

I never said I wanted someone to give it to me. Doesn't stop me from wanting to see it.
