-Still not too thrilled about Doomsday showing up in Action but if anyone can make that walking plot device of a character interesting it's Cornell

-Inc, Detective, Woman, and Gates of Gotham are all must buy Batman books for me.

-Sad to see Doom Patrol to go. I guess it didn't help that I that I picked it up very infrequently. It also doesn't help that I use Morrison's run as the measuring stick for any Doom Patrol appearances.

-Excited for Xombi and so should you be.

-Very very good month for DC Presents books. Not only do we get one of my all time favorite Bat-Stories-Dark Knight, Dark City-we get two books that have some really great art. Williams doesn't need any introduction but I think I'm looking forward to Willworld more. Google Seth Fisher who was tragically killed very very early in his career. One of the most fun artist in recent years. Pick up Iron Man/Fantastic Four: Big in Japan if you can.

-Knight and Squire trade :awesome:

-Arkham Asylum: Madness was neat. If your looking for something creepy and dig Kieth I recommend.

-Absolute Identity Crisis? Go **** yourself.

-Still no All Star Batman :o:csad:

-Strange Adventures looks really good. Look at that line up.

I don't give a **** what happens in this story, I just love this cover.

Hmm. Batwoman #2, Doc Savage #14, Gates of Gotham #, Detective #877, The Spirit #14, Strange Adventures and American Vampire #15 are the only books I'm grabbing this month. It's kinda sad.

However, I'm thinking about making the jump onto Action Comics with #900.

and I share Watchman's sentiments: where the hell is All-Star Batman?

That Aquaman trade sounds interesting. I want to read more Aquaman stories.

Same here. Brightest Day seems like a good direction with the Aquaman family getting drawn to the general audience. Aquaman, Lorena, Mera and the new Aqualad.... Now if only we'd still have Garth as Tempest. :cmad::cmad::cmad::cmad:

I'll be buying absolute identity crisis, because I want more absolute books. If this can make it into absolute format, then final crisis can.

Batwoman issue two sounds :awesome: that is the comic book i am most excited to buy. Cannot wait to find out what new villain Williams has created for the first arc of Kate's ongoing and who her new girlfriend shall be

Secret Six and Birds of Prey look like fun on a bun I loves those comic books with so much live :hrt: those comic books and Batwoman are what i am most excited about on these solicits

Legion of Superheroes looks :awesome: I'mma buy that i dig that comic book. Levitz is a fab writer and his Legion of Superheroes comic books are great

I am :csad: to see Rebels has been cancelled I hope it has a neat last issue. Hope we see the characters again

oh nooooooo, not rebels! I love that book!

And alan moore is writing something for the green lantern special? interesting.

can't say I'm sad to see outsiders or jsa all-stars go. I haven't read any of doom patrol, and I'm indifferent to the cancellation of freedom fighters.

And alan moore is writing something for the green lantern special? interesting.

He wrote that particular story "Tygers", many many years ago, the special is just collecting it. It's basically what inspired Rage of the Red Lanterns, Blackest Night and several other parts of Geoff Johns' GL run.

Yep JSA all stars was sort of meh not very sad it has been cancelled

Outsders was sort of neat though shame it is being cancelled

S***-nuggets, they're reprinting the story where Aquababy gets killed? I'm totally getting that, even though I've already read it.

Really not looking forward to this War of the Green Lanterns thing. Seems especially silly if the justification for the whole thing is Guy, Ganthet, and Atrocitus' stupid deal to be total *****ebags to everyone.

Not going to buy anything to do with War of the Green Lanterns no interest in it at all :down

Oh snap, Arkham City tie-in that's written by Dini and actually sounds good. I'm all over that.

Tim with guns. Hmm, I actually kind of like that idea. It'd be interesting if he and Bruce argued over it, with Bruce all emotional about his parents' deaths and Tim claiming guns are just another tool. But really, it's probably just a striking image for the cover.

OH SNAP, Superman/Batman has Aquaman leading the JLA, Traci 13, and it's written by Cullen Bunn. Someone at DC loves me. :awesome:

Yeah that Superman/Batman sounds hella fun.

I just noticed, and new Static Shock ongoing, plus Xombi issue 3, gonna be a good month from DC for me.

Interested in checking out that Justice HC. Not wanting to drop $100 for an Absolute, but $40 sounds reasonable.

They should release more of those kinda HCs. I'm waiting for All Star Superman HC personally, unless someday there will be a crazy discount for the absolute ASS.

They're pretty and all, but just too much. I only own one (Batman: The Long Halloween), and only want one other (Kingdom Come). Other than that, a simple oversized HC will do.

I'm going to get Absolute All-Star Superman someday. It's expensive, but Amazon always has a discount that'll bring it down to something more reasonable, and Quitely's art is totally worth it on that series.

They use to not be that way. I think when Absolute Hush came out it was something like $49.99, and Absolute The New Frontier it was like $69.99. It wasn't until Watchmen got the treatment, I believe, that they started charging pretty liberally and fans would pay it. Even Absolute Green Lantern: Rebirth, a five issue mini, was $75.00.

I bought the Absolute All Star Superman, but Amazon had it marked down to just over $60.

The only reason I bought ABtLH was because it was under $50 with Amazon's discount. Pricked up all but my Hulk omnibus from them as well. Nothing have come close to that discount outside of Strand Bookstore in Manhattan, but you have to have luck to find one there.
