Is there a picture?
Annoying if true.
Fixed that for ya. t:
Some sexy art, right here.
What's that from? Something new?
If its not broken...
Probably a panel from an upcoming issue (current arc is drawn by Lee Weeks).
And yeah, they're bringing back the Batman Hush costume. Like for Supes, I'm indifferent when it comes to the trunks.
I have no problem with Batman bringing back the trunks. I wish they'd bring back the oval too.
Honestly the Doomsday Clock is starting to lose me. I have yet to really see why this story is needed other than for Johns scratching that itch to write a Watchmen story. I mean this story was supposed to heavily feature Superman and he has barley been in it and the rest of DCU so far have been nothing more than cameos. I just hope that it starts to pick up soon.
Doomsday Clock, because of pacing, seems so off from the rest of DC continuity. And it is just plain boring.
We are halfway through it i think, 6 of 12 issues right? and yeah, the pacing is incredible slow and tedious.
This is defenitly a story you have to read in one go, but even then im not sure if the pacing is better.
There is potential there but wow is the thing slow.
#6 is the most coherent and easy to follow of the series so far. It focused on one character and made sense, unlike the previous issues. It also had a very tragic ending which genuinely made me feel bad for Marionette. I haven't felt that way about a villain in comics for some time.
That said, does it make me a bad person when I say that it was extremely satisfying to see Marionette and mime beating the ever loving s**t out of those bullies as kids?
Whats everyones thoughts about the Deathstroke vs Batman story thats been playing out?
I like it. It's intricately-woven, I'd say.
I think they are, aren't they? Doomsday Clock is supposed to be a year ahead continuity-wise (although it's so slow in publication, it's probable continuity will catch up with it) and Batman has the yellow oval back in that.
I dont know how to post pictures lol
I know this is just a nit pick, but i dont get why they are bringing back Batman and Supermans trunks, feels like just a step back.
There are several batsuits out there right now, including the future DC Universe in Doomsday Clock that has the oval (apparently, I'm not reading it). So this might not be real, or even permanent.
But either way...these are comic books. The trunks may not work in real life, but they look just fine in four color print. There's no step back. If anything, it's a sign that they're embracing the fact that these are ridiculous fantasies to begin with.
Its real. Read Batman #53. Its actually a cool reason behind it and outside the last Annual, this was my favorite Batman issue Ive read in a VERY long time. And no one has been more critical of King than me. (Except maybe Mani)
Rumor has it that Titans is going to wind down and be cancelled. I had heard on a podcast that it has been rumored that DC isnt happy with how it is playing out and is moving it to bi weekly to finish it out sooner and will then cancel it.
Agreed. It was very character-driven as this current arc has been and I felt very sorry for Bruce when it was over. Poor guy just can't catch a break.
This is what makes King so frustrating for me. He writes stuff like BM 53 only when he seems to feel like putting in the effort. Other times, you get which ever issue it was in which Bats proposes to Catwoman and the dialogue is nothing but short phrases.
That is what annoys me too about King.
He does have good ideas and has moments where everything feels very in-character...but ultimatly it falls flat.
I heard good things about the current arc but i cant get myself to read it because so far every arc from King sounded great but crashed and burned horribly in the end.
Also im still pissed that they go back to the dumb Trunks look.
I read Action Comics and it does work for Superman, which has a lot to do with the fantastic art in general...but i still hate that look with a passion of 10 burning suns.
You are a grown crime fighter with a high tech armor, not some 5 year old whos mom made a costume where the god damn underwear is on the outside.
Read the latest Batman arc. It'll be worth your time and effort, I promise.
Agreed. I absolutely loved Cold Days
I really enjoyed Batgirl Annual 2. Anyone else catch it?
