RIP’S BACKSTORY IS REVEALED – The team is targeted by The Pilgrim (guest star Faye Kingslee), a deadly assassin who wants to erase the Legends from the timeline by killing their younger, non-superhero selves. As a protective countermeasure, Rip (Arthur Darvill) decides Sara (Caity Lotz), Snart (Wentworth Miller), Rory (Dominic Purcell), Professor Stein (Victor Garber) and Jax (Franz Drameh) need to kidnap their past selves first before The Pilgrim gets to them. Coming face-to-face with the younger versions of themselves proves to be both a physical and emotional challenge for certain members of the team who would rather forget their past. Rip tells them he has a refuge for their precious cargo – an orphanage that raises future Time Masters and where he himself grew up. Rachel Talalay directed the episode written by Chris Fedak & Matthew Maala.

I really like the show. But good lord I'm getting tired of the Kendra/Ray drama in every episode. Either run with it or end it. Sick of seeing her doubt the relationship only to say it's fine at the end. Then the next episode she does the same thing.

Rip's a badass. Sara's a badass. Snart is a badass. And so is Mick. Ray is Paragon 4 Life. Kendra is fine, but she should really get her mace. Stein is a smart badass. And Jax is the audience surrogate.

Sigh... This show is cool.

Laughed my ass off when [BLACKOUT]young Rip stabbed her in the leg.[/BLACKOUT]

this was a enjoyable episode.

Ireally liked that they wentto protect their younger self's and their family.

though it's a bit odd the time master ave the pilgrim the ability to manipulat time for combat and yet certain time master's like Rip doesn't have that ability? also come to think about it they should have raided her ship for extra tech since she had that.

they should done the same with mick's ship after they6 captured him. cause I'm sure they'll need it and what ever info those ships may have.

the amnesia pill is interesting especially after what rip said in the wild west to snart. don't worry6 I under stand why he said he won't use something like for the town. what he said back then was sound.

I'm sure it's in limited supply and to chase every one in town including visitors just passing by is too much work.

it look like they keeping young sara and her family away form the time they picked them up from some of them are on the ship and some at the orphanage. but they weirdly left past Ray in the time he was attacked in? that was the only odd spot but it was very cool episode . especially when young rip took the pilgrim down.

I hate psycho's that go after kids especially babys .

I'm actually kind of surprised that they brought in Ray's former deceased fiance Anna (I think that's her name) into this. The reason why i say this is because why use her as bait, let alone threaten her life, when she's destined to die anyway?

I'm also kind of curious to see on what kind of explanation that they give on why Rip won't be able to return his team to the original moment that they had left their present timeline in order to join his crusade because A LOT of major things have taken place in the Flash and Arrow universes. If any of the heroes came back to the point that they originally left then there's no way that the events that we've seen take place in Flash and Arrow for the last few months would go about the same way, especially with Laurel's death.

Isn't her death what made Ray build the suit. If you take her out of the timeline before she even meets Ray, it changes things dramatically.

Just finished it, it was ok, I enjoyed it for the most part though I think they are traveling through time and leaving things way to clean. There should be some repercussions. I was sad that they killed off the badass Time assassin, I wanted her to get at least one of them and for her to live to fight another day.

The fight choreography is finally getting good again. Sara vs the Pilgrim was awesome.

I'm starting to wonder, after this episode, what else the Time Masters have that is a credible threat. The Hunters were built up to be so dangerous they had to hide, when in fact it took them minutes to take them down when the legends were at less than full strength. The Pilgrim while dangerous was fended off my 2 members of them each time they encountered her prior to the exchange. Then at the exchange was simply overwhelmed. Even without young Rip's timely stabbing, it looked like she was struggling to hold back all those attacks at once. Though personally the way they sprung the trap with Ray seemed counter productive, he's probably the best to land the final blow while she's fending off all the other attacks.

I still don't really get the idea of time cementing itself. Once time has cemented it can't be changed again, is that the idea? If so why hasn't the various Savage plans been cemented already. Why isn't all of time cemented? Timey-whimey ball.

Ray/Kendra drama is dragging on. Feels like it should have been resolved already or less focus on it so it can be resolved in a more meaningful way later. Ray's description of the situation was perfect though.

About the final resolution of going after Vandal at the height of his power, shouldn't the year have changed after the legends sped up his plan.

Overall it was a good episode. I feel the Time Master's make for more interesting villains of the week than Savage has so far.

I'm pretty sure most people wouldn't want to have to watch their loved ones be tortured and murdered at all. Let alone twice.

I enjoyed the episode overall I thought Jax and Mick were the best but Caity Lotz. Her acting as a young Sara was cringe worthy to me.

It's kind of awkward that Dinah has been absent from all Lance family photos.

bing go.

this is the same for Barry why it's consider his mom's death is a fix point in time. her death is what motivated barry to be a CSI and to be a super hero later when he got his power.

this is the case for ray in be coming the Atom. their death's are motivator. if those people are killed before they give birth to or falling love with the hero in ray's case (where the flarrow verse is concerned) then they won't be come the hero's they are meant to be thus history has been changed.

And more importantly Ray won't be around for the event that went down in nanda parbot and star city would be screwed cause of that air born virus and in olives he'd have been sniped off the bridge by the starling city pd ..

All Cause felicity would have no one to nag to save him while Ray's busy working way to stop the air born virus and lend her his exo Skeleton suit.

and no one like to see that happen to their loved ones repeatedly. it's already playing in those hero's minds as it is as night mares and weird passing moments as it is.

Just because she had already died, doesn't mean Ray didn't still care about her. And the Pilgrim was suggesting she'd kill her slowly and horribly.

Oh boy, worst episode yet. The blatant disrespect for time and excessive use of "temporal" and "chronal" were at their peak in this episode. I wonder what terribly ineffective measures the Time Masters will take next?

This was my favorite episode of the show. The show has been super uneven, but I really enjoyed the raw emotion of this episode. Jackson and his father got me right in the gut.

The episode had some really great FX and fight choreography but boy have they ditched any effort whatsoever to make sure the timelines stay intact.

Also, they really can't come up with a credible threat to the team at this point, can they?

I think the cringe was deliberate; as in pre-Island Sara was meant to be a terribly unbearable person. :D

Generally speaking, I suspect it's because the team is massively OP.

This. Firestorm and ATOM could each probably solo this entire season if it weren't for Plot Induced Stupidity and the jobbing they sometimes do.

But it's a staple of comics so what can you do? Realistically speaking who in comics can stop the Flash for example? Cosmic beings and magic people that can tap into cosmic powers like Dr. Fate. But the Rogues challenge him all the time.
