When the Legends learn that a mysterious tragedy destroyed Memphis in 1954, thus eradicating the birthplace of rock and roll, they embark on their most important mission - to save music.

Nate (Nick Zano) is excited to show Amaya why music is important to him and he is surprised it leads to a rock legend as well as the sixth and final totem, the Death Totem. Meanwhile, Zari (Tala Ashe) helps their newest member try to adjust to the team.

They could've found someone who looks more like Elvis.

The chore wheel on the Waverider is all but pointless now that Wally's around. And he's still way more fun to see here than he ever was on The Flash.

This dude is not even a little bit convincing as Elvis. Wally is a nice addition, though.

Speechless- the show is becoming less of a superhero show and more of a Comedy version Quantum Leap

Mick, Axl and Ray saved this ep. I don't like rats, but I got a lump in my throat as Axl forego the sandwich to say goodbye to Mick.

Whilst I enjoyed this episode, I do get the feeling they've made an error having Wally run around and do everything with his speed, yet you can guarantee (as with Barry) that somehow, he'll get knocked out and/or Damien will manage - somehow - to see him coming and stop him with his magic hands.

Not one of the best episodes this season, but still really enjoyable! Wally, Mick and Axl were the best parts of this episode!

I know that Legends is not exactly into weighty themes, but the uneven nature of this ep was annoying.

First, we`re in 50`s Memphis, Tennessee...
We get the stereotypical fire & brimstone preacher slamming the existence of EEEvil and The Devil by way of Rock & Roll ...

This preacher even gets some apparent validation as a bizarre levitation occurs in his very church....

Yet this same obviously prejudiced and mentally-limited 'Man Of God' has no problem with a black woman and a white man dancing together and KISSING in his church ?

In 1950`s MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE ?

This is the same town that would see Dr. King shot dead in 1968...
I hardly think they would have been 'okay' with Nate & Amaya in 1954 Memphis.

With a little too much Rom-com tossed in.. THe episode was good, but i rank it only a 4.5 all because of how MUCH they tossed in the romance between nate and Ammia..

Though HOW did the rat get INTO the sammy, with it being Wrapped up how it was..

But i did like the 'rat funeral'!

Heck, i was shocked, we didn't see any push back IN The ep itself, with both Wally and Amiah, both being seated WITH white folk (the rest of the team) when they first entered the church... Let alone the Dance/kiss between her and nate..

I thought this episode sucked. And whoever compared it to Quantum Leap was wrong. At least the Quantum Leap episode was better and used actual Elvis songs in there.

That wasn't his first record. I don't know what that was, but it wasn't an Elvis song. It wasn't even in the style of the Sun records which was more rockabilly.

The bassline of that was more like an imitation of Burning Love, which was one of Elvis's 70s hits. None of his 50s or even 60s hits sounded like that. It was the wrong style.

His first song was "That's Alright Mama". But they probably didn't want to pay any licencing rights to use it. What good is an Elvis episode if you're not going to feature any of his songs?

The only reason they used Amazing Grace is because it is public domain. He did sing that, but they could've had some rock songs too.

The Quantum Leap episode used Blue Moon of Kentucky and Baby Let's Play House. I can't remember if they had That's Alright Mama as well.

And that actor was nothing like Elvis. I never once saw him. He didn't talk like him or look like him or move like him whatsoever.

I have been enjoying this season but didn’t really like this episode.

Well if you can't do the historical figure justice, then you shouldn't do it at all. They could've picked someone else as the bearer of the totem.

Also, I think this episode would've fitted in better with Season 2 when they were just correcting anachronisms. It would've worked better as a simple story to fix time, like they had with George Lucas, than to try to do all these other things at the same time.

Yeah, I think they are choosing to ignore the racial issues with time travel just like they do a lot of the obvious paradoxes and other time issues.

Can we please get a little less humor and more serious tone....Not saying it has to be dark...Just like someone else said...its becoming more of a comedy.

Yep, and a bad one at that, imo. Not even half the jokes land.

Yeah this episode was such boring. When Legends is good, Legends is GOOOOD. But when it's bad....it bad.

They need to get over using these historical figures just to get a "name" in there.

They also need to stop with the "most of the team stays on the Waverider because reasons while 3 people go handle the issue of the day" format.

That works but only if they rotate the away-team members. So far, Rory and Zari seems to get the most sideline duties. Meh.

Yeah. Obviously it's done for budget reasons but with so many issues in the timeline, the team should be splitting up anyway. Even if the mission is off screen.

Always pleased to hear my two favorite hymns, "Onward Christian Soldiers" and
"Amazing Grace".
