That ridiculously cheap AI. It's not challenging in a fun way. It's ANNOYING in a cheap way. It's not a good AI at all. They make them way too smart. They can block anything you throw at them and do mad ******ed combos without any pause.

I won't even buy DOA 5 until I hear this has been fixed.

I've been playing DOA 4 like mad this week and I have to stop myself from smashing my controller every time I go up against Alpha 152 or whatever, she is the biggest cheating ****e ever. Blocks damn near everything, constant teleporting and attacks that do up to 60% damage in one hit.

I sold that game once I realized it was damn near impossible to beat the final boss.

*****es. Games were always hard back in the day.

Aren't beat 'em up bosses supposed to be hard? If it were easy, it wouldn't be satisfying to beat.

There isn't any easier setting.

It's preset.

Anyway, the game has been finished for a little while including Time Attack so all water under the bridge: all that's left now is just replay value.

Of course, it makes things easier when you have three amongst you to share the task of beating the game evenly as I did, so try get some of your friends, but they'd need to be veterans or fans of DOA to do it. That, and constant access to the console.

I'm not sure if I can offer any more tips other than preseverance - obviously - and creative ways to smack down the boss or even stick to what works, ie if a certain series of punches and/or kicks do more damage than anything else, use those. Some characters work better in long range ie running full speed and attacking with all you've got - don't be too creative though - while others serve the shorter range purpose.

Try it. It's just a matter of tricks and clever manouvreability.

Haha. Yeah, I know.

She doesn't always block if you catch her off-guard, if the timing's right, but you probably know that.

Let her teleport when you know you can't get her, and then run at her head-on and smack her.

Don't worry about those 60% damage attacks: you can't do anything about that except to try to minimise her from ever getting close to you.

I may help out more if you have any more questions, ie which character is good for either short range or long range onslaught.

I can beat ever MK game on the highest difficulty, and yes, the bosses are hard, but they're not cheap as hell as the DOA4 boss is...she blocks EVERY move you try to do to her.

I hate ****ing Alpha 152. I shouldn't have to play against a boss more than 10 times to actually beat her.

Ok, fair point. I haven't even played the game, so I couldn't comment further.

I just got DOA 4 today, and yeah... The AI can be cheap at times.

The last Boss in DOA4 isnt that hard at all and I sux in fighting games

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one having problems.

Thanks for the tips, I appreciate it. I do need to work on my timing, that's always been a problem of mine when it comes to fighting games. Well, the characters I favor are Hitomi and Ein, how would you say they stack up when it comes to range?

Also, I just got 2 minutes in Time Attack with Ein, best feeling ever when I stomped Alpha in less then 30 seconds. I caught a lucky break on that one though.

Who f***ing rated DOA 4 M?
Why in the hell does it have that rating? Wasn't DOA 3 rated T? same with 2, except for Extreme.
Now I can't play the f***ing game because my dad is a *****e when it comes to ratings, and my little brother plays it.

I think some of the cut scenes pushed it up to M, plus I think there was a greater amount of bounce in this one. Not too mention a few skimpier outfits.

I know exactly what you mean. The only characters I can defeat her with are Kasumi and Hayabusa (wanna see what a real teleporter can do? :o ).

It's impossibly hard with the slower characters and it needs to be fixed next time round.

I want to play dead or alive but i never got the chance. what do you guys rate it

think SHE'S cheap? try playing some SNK games...

Fighting games are for n00bs. Get Ninja Gaiden and pray the sequel has multiplayer.

LOLOLOLOLOL I HAVE NINJA GAIDEN BLACK RIGHT NOW!!!!
I totally forgot, man! It's inside my drawer!!!!

And I borrowed an Xbox from my friend, which I've used to only play 'Black' :(

I will not invest in another damn Ninja Gaiden game until they come out with a friggin' sequal. Black, white, gold, platinum, sigma, theta, beta, and all that **** is a waste of money imo.
