Interview where Ryan says he would like to make X-Force a priority. Hopefully Fox will give the reigns to Ryan and Tim once the film hits to expand the corner of the X-Men verse.
I think there is. Most of Deadpool's origin is treated pretty serious and tragic. His transformation is pretty brutal.Good review. My biggest "fear" is that the humor isn't for me. I can swallow (pun unintended) a dick and poop joke every now and then, but I don't need an endless barrage of them thrown into my face. I hope the movie leaves breathing room between jokes.

Me too. AM2 - Andrew Garfield's wise cracks got really annoying after a while in that movie because they were one after the other.
Yeah that seems to be the most common complaint so far. An original first 20 minutes and then a traditional super hero movie where (as Ryan pointed out) only Deadpool is in on the joke. I guess some people were expecting the movie to be completely incomprehensible nonsense like the Deadpool game. Personally I'm glad it isn't. I'm the same with the humor in this movie as Greens.Berlin press conference. Ryan Reynolds says something very important (and I agree 100%): "Everything in the movie should feel like a traditional superhero film. The only one that's in on the joke is Deadpool." (which, by the way, seems to get over a lot of critics' heads, considering they're complaining about it being... 'a superhero (origin) movie.'
Yeah, and that's a common misconception about the character in general. Many people feel as if the stories involving Deadpool should just venture into a completely whacky area, and forget about any traditional storytelling. Which I don't agree with. And my favorite Deadpool stories are the ones which actually feature a real story and some real character work and stakes, as opposed to pure nonsense extravaganza.
Well, this is a straight out action COMEDY (and so are the comics), so I'm sure there's gonna be tons of wisecracks and jokes.
But it seems like the filmmakers didn't forget the character's darker and more tragic side.
