Don't think we've done this one yet.

The ultimate superhero crossover vs. the anti-hero, pseudo-parody. Both are hugely faithful comic book adaptations. But which was the more enjoyable movie in your eyes?

Both succeed in what they aim for and that's what most cbms should strive for. However, CW edges Deadpool for me by just a tiny bit. I found CW's script much tighter and impressive considering the amount it things that it covers. Deadpool was a bit weaker in the 3rd act imo.

Deadpool wins it for me. I've been waiting for the movie since Wolverine: Origins teased it then butchered the character but it was worth it.

As much as I enjoyed chunks of CW, I enjoyed pretty much every moment of Deadpool.

Deadpool was great, but Civil War was a masterpiece.

Deadpool was a lot of fun and a breath of fresh air, but Civil War is one of the absolute best movies the genre has ever produced.

Pretty much took the words right out of my mouth.

Damn, this is a hard one. I could go CW solely because of the near-perfect portrayel of my favorite character. But I REALLY enjoyed Deadpool.. Hard one.

Deadpool was the breakout hit so far for 2016 and I loved it however Captain America Civil War was awesome and more fun to watch. So I have to give it to Civil War.

Really not surprised that Civil War is carrying this poll. It is Marvel Studios after all.

To me Deadpool was a blast, watched it 3 times while it was in theatres, and got it on Blu-ray the first day it came out.

I've only seen Civil War once, and I really have no desire to watch it again. I'll probably Redbox it but thats about it, such is the case with most of the MCU films. I was kinda bored the whole time and didn't really start to take off until Spider-Man showed up, and even then I think his portrayal is slightly overrated.

Civil War, because it is, IMO, a masterpiece.

Deadpool was fun, but was bland and trope-y for a movie intended to poke fun of these tropes. It became hypocritical of that movie to become exactly what it parodied.

That said, I had more fun watching Deadpool on first watch then I did, Civil War. Deadpool could be the most fun I've had in cinemas. Ever. Therefore it holds a special place in my heart.

Civil War is superior in story and action

Deadpool is superior in comedy action and gore, more profit too

Both is same good but, CW more Great & Perfect

Deadpool is a fun little flick with a terribly generic plot compensated by some solid character work and good humour.

Civil War is an achievement. Screwing it up would've been so ridiculously easy, and yet not only did the Russos and MS pull it off, they even managed to make one of the best cb movies ever.

So yeah, I'm going with Civil War. Can't wait for the Deadpool sequel though.

Civil War, because while both succeeded excellently at their goals, the goals Civil War set were more ambitious.

Civil War is an ambitious movie that still managed to exceed expectations, while Deadpool is a movie that nobody gave it much of a chance but succeed beyond belief. I like Deadpool a lot, but to me Civil War is the best CBM ever. I'm glad both came out this year.

I feel like people in this poll are answering the question "Deadpool v Civil War", as in all told, overall, which do you vote for. Civil War has tons more stuff in it, so one might say for depth of characters and just the sheer amount of work it must have taken to put together Civil War, and all the characters you got to see, then CW > Deadpool.

But the OP was actually asking Which movie was more enjoyable for you, maybe a lot of people don't read the OP, they just read the topic and vote. I have a hard time believing that 83% found CW more enjoyable than Deadpool.

There were several times I was bored during CW, and the final fight was out of character. Tony knew that Bucky was under mind control. I am sure that after he took Bucky's arm he would calm down. He wouldn't have enough rage to keep trying to kill him and Cap, at least not as far as the movie portrays things.

Meanwhile, Deadpool was enjoyable start to finish. Having Colossus in it was awesome, having the old decommissioned Shield ship in it was awesome. I was still enjoying myself during the closing credits! And the 4th wall jokes like Hugh Jackman and the lame deadpool action figure, that was great and I've never seen things like that in a movie before. There's nothing in CW that I haven't seen before except Giant Man.

Is CW bigger and more impressive yeah, but more enjoyable? I wish I enjoyed non-solid thrown together movies like CW as much as you guys do. For me the only time in CW that was as enjoyable as Deadpool was Giant Man, and to some extent Spiderman. Spiderman *WOULD* have been way cooler if they had kept it a secret though. CW was good but I left Deadpool smiling.

I don't. It's the best movie in the genre since The Dark Knight.

Heck, imagine this poll in 2008. Poor Iron Man, fantastic movie it is, would get blown to bits in a poll next to The Dark Knight.

Enjoyed both and when all is said and done, there is a good chance we'll look back and say they were the two best superhero movies of 2016 (and probably 2015 too for that matter).

With that said, Civil War might be Marvel Studios' best film. Deadpool was fun and clever, which made up for the fact it relied heavily on tropes and formula. Civil War was a class act that is probably the first Marvel movie since 2012 that did not follow the formula, and we are better for it.

Hmm... I kinda see your point. But I guess it just depends on your perspective. Most people don't differentiate between "the best" and "the most enjoyable"

I personally saw CW 3 times in theaters because of how much I enjoyed it. Deadpool I saw twice in theaters, because while I greatly enjoyed it, I just didnt enjoy it quite as much.

I think they are both hugely well constructed films. I think Deadpool did amazing things with its comparatively lacking budget. And I think Civil War did amazing things with the size and scope of its cast and the task they set out to do.

Yeah, I enjoyed Civil War immensely, from its serious discussion about the pros and cons of the Solovia Accord to the fun and playful scenes that involved Spider-Man and Giant Man. I think it's a movie that truly has the best of both worlds, and very few movies can do both so well at the same time. Deadpool is terrific, but it's kind of easy to do it the first time and without much expectations. If it's the third movie of a trilogy and still delivers the same wonder and enjoyment like Civil War, then it could be even more special.

I had more fun watching Deadpool.

Civil War left me feeling so conflicted. I wanted to like it more than what ended up resonating after I saw it for a second time.
