Deadpool & Wolverine Deadpool & Wolverine News and General Discussion Thread

What is the criteria for a win?

Something like 73% is a win for certain ips and directors.

Somewhere in the 60s is disastrous for several franchises and but thats generally a good score for chick flicks and movies like Saw/Final Destination.

Real Steel was okay, the movie had its charm. I couldn't pay attention to Free guy though I finished the movie but I can't remember too much from it. I didn't finish The Adam Project, the premise was just not appealing to me.

But we'll see. This is definitely the most intriguing film for the director and there's a lot to live up. Ideally, this should be his best film especially more people are seeing this than his previous films.

The Night at the Museum movies were fun and should have been received better.

He doesn't make bad films, but he also doesn't make excellent ones.
He's good at "generic feel-good rental comedy/adventure movies", which isn't such a bad thing, but he never excelled. At least for me.

I don't watch Stranger Things, but I've seen Free Guy and The Adam Project, and I thought both were very good. I didn't realize people didn't like Levy. LOL.

Could he be adding Avengers 5 to his resumé?

Even by post pandemic and Hollywood fatigue standards I agree 100 million is not much of we're talking about opening weekend. Quantumania did 104 and Guardians 3 did 118 last year. Deadpool and Wolverine are extremely popular and Disney is hyping it and pushing hard for this. Also it's good to remember that most MCU films are usually very front loaded, so if its budget is huge per usual and it gets the most common 67% drops, it might not be good. It's going to depend a lot on reviews and word of mouth.
I agree with this. the world has moved on from the coronavirus and as far as cinema goes, whoever is still into that culture will still continue to go see films on the big screen. Avatar 2 was within the same ballpark as its predecessors' box office revenue. If Deadpool 3 falls short of its predecessors' opening weekend, then I can understand where @LoganPool is coming from.

I wonder, will any actual MCU characters appear in this? Obviously the TVA is in it, but will any actual specific MCU characters appear?

I imagine there'd have to be at least one person from the MCU proper who shows up and not just through footage. Especially after that short video from a few years back with Deadpool and Korg hanging out.

I'll spoiler tag it, but there's been confirmation that *** Thor *** shows up.

I would like to see any of the Eternals and the upcoming Fantastic 4 cast as cameos.

Man, they're really recycling the same scenes over and over again huh?

That's definitely Ladypool at the 30 second mark.

Taylor Swift as Dazzler is the most uninspired casting idea I've ever seen online—hyperbole is needed.

Good spot!

knowing Vinnie Jones took down the role, its still nice that they didn't cut the character as they seem to be featuring every OT X-Men villain except for Magneto and Mystique. Even Azazel is in this and he wasn't even in the Ot.
