I agree with your point. There are people that would love to lose the weight, fight to lose the weight, but can't for whatever reason. Bullying someone because of how the look is wrong no matter what (unless they're like a Jersey Shore *****er. They chose to look like that).

I'd say blame society for these terms getting imbued in us. I'm a bi man and sometimes unknowingly insult myself by saying or thinking in a negative way about something "that's really gay." Or laughing when someone says that (about something, not someone) and agree. I do it without thinking. I'd say it's the same thing here. Also I'm not the only LGBT guy to let it slip like that.

And let me get this right, the only thing you have to say at this point is how I slip up with terminology? I'm not perfect. But, I don't make fun of people. Right now as said I'm imagining someone like my sister out there reading this and that person getting upset and possibly crying. I don't know. All I know is, what I learned from comics, is to be the better man and to stick up for people. Not to knock people down. I'm the guy who gives car rides to strangers if they need to get home and have no form of transportation. Why? Because THAT is what I learned from comics.

Number 1... I think you've been watching too many sappy movies.

Number 2... If your sister hasn't seen a specialist and you claim that she's living this extremely healthy lifestyle but is still, in your own words, fat... then there is a likely possibility that she could have a thyroid problem. A visit to a specialist/doctor might actually be a positive thing... how can it be negative?

Number 3... I think you've been watching too many sappy movies.

If you find it so offensive... why do you feel comfortable calling your own sister "fat"? Wouldn't a more politically correct or sensitive term be appropriate? That's almost the same as saying, "As a brother whose sister is ******ed, this thread is offensive". Not quite as extreme... but similar thinking.[/QUOTE]

Nah, like what "big", or "obese"?(Personally, I hate that word). Fat is not always an insult. Neither is ******ed. It's called being mentally ******ed, or mentally held back.

So because of caring for people? I'm called sappy. I'd rather be sappy than a prick. But, maybe that's just me. Dude, you're really beginning to sound like an old record player. So because you have nothing to say - you're coming after me by saying I slip up with terminology and that I'm "sappy" for caring about people? I'd actually say the sappy one goes for me rather than against me if sappy means caring for people rather than putting them down. Ask anyone, the majority - I know not you - if they'd rather be sappy or insensitive to people and I'm pretty sure you'd see that most of them want to be human. I know why I'm here and typing this, because of the possibility of someone like my sister out there who you're being a real prick to. Why are you here? To just put them down? Who sounds like a hero and who sounds like a villain to you?

But some people choose to be fat too. Why is okay to poke fun at one group but not the other?

We are all humans... if you are trying to say that I don't act humane... then your opinion is your opinion... and it's a little bit naive in all honesty. But that's okay, you're probably very young and need to get out a little more.

As for being a broken record, I clearly made a comment about your sister's issue being a possible medical condition... and you brushed it off to replay your "I'm a human hero" shtick. If you truly care about your sister, do some research and try to help her overcome her problem instead of just watching her suffer and defending her... that doesn't fix the problem... it just makes you feel like a "hero".

I'd say being human is caring about people, not being pricks. Maybe your definition of human is just what species you are? That's a very narrow viewpoint, but okay. You're a member of the human species - but you don't act humane. Unless, would you call bullies humane? No, serious question, and answer this one.

I don't have a hero complex, I'm just fascinated by how many pricks there are on what is called "super hero hype" when being a hero is all about caring for others and not making fun of them. She's not "ballooning" and it isn't going up. Also I'm pretty sure we, my whole family - especially with my parents, would have caught that by now. So, no all you're doing is practically hiding behind that. If there was more we could do, we would have already done it.

So, again, would you call people who make fun of others human or "humane"?
And are you on here for any other reason other to make fun of people?

Who chooses to be fat? Sumo wrestlers? There is a difference from choosing a lifestyle and just letting go. An individual can choose to let go and live a carefree lifestyle that carries repercussions to their health... but given a genie wish to have any body type that they want in order to live a long and healthy life... I doubt that they would say, "Naw, I like being unhealthily overweight".

What you call "getting out more" is what I call becoming cynical.

I didn't mean they want or wish to be fat but it is the lifestyle a lot of these people have chosen. Sit in the car, sit at the desk, come home and sit on the couch eating processed food in-between. That's the life for a majority of people.

So, telling the truth is being a bully... what an interesting way to look at things. Let me lie then. All OVERWEIGHT (notice, I didn't say "fat" because that could be construed as being insensitive) have no control over their weight... it's not their fault.

Is that lie humane enough to meet your standards?

Are you going to actually talk about the issue of overweight people or are you just going to keep questioning my humanity? Because you're severely derailing the topic.

But to amuse you, I am not going to act any different than I normally do just so I can appease your sense of humanity. That's your sense of how a person should act, which is pretty blind in my opinion, not mine. I believe that honesty is the best policy. If I'm a prick, then you are being honest by calling me a prick... kudos to you for doing that. I won't ask you to lie and be nice to me if that's how you truly feel... and I'm going to assume you are going to do the right thing like a good little hero should do by speaking on the topic now.

Derailing what topic? You picking on fat people? That's a topic? People saying "let's all grab pitch forks" to chase the fat people away who come in crying - that topic? I'm coming here to derail it, make no mistake about that. And I'm happy to derail it. And so far it seems to be working. Yeah, call me a punk kid. Call me naive. But, hey it was punks that founded our country so - I'm honored to derail things.

If you saw a kid on the playground taunting another kid who is overweight, is that kid being honest or is that kid just being mean?

Don't worry, Big Agro will create those lab foods that have no fat and no calories, but still taste great (Caution: may give you cancer, diarrhea, and kidney failure).

Please, stop with the heroics... you're not saving anybody.

If you need an explanation of the topic because humorous subtext is a little over your head, then let me enlighten you.

Obesity is a problem in America

That is what this thread is about. I can't say it any louder or clearer. If you choose to continue on your little quest to destroy me... at least do it with a little more gusto, I'm getting bored.

And I'm having a really fun time derailing this thing into the point of never coming back. I'll also be here for your further derailment entertainment. I really didn't find anything funny. I didn't find it talking about antidotes or anything of the like. All I see every post is "haha fat people" mob mentality. So where's the politics in that? I see lots of people observing this but saying nothing and when it is, it's the complete opposite of the last couple of pages. You just sound like someone who's pissed you don't have posters like the last couple of pages. Any way around it? I'm just here to have fun tarring and feathing.

I still find it hilarious that you're avoiding the question and it truly does show a lot.

If you saw a kid on the playground taunting another kid who is overweight, is that kid being honest or is that kid just being mean?

So, are you going to try and get your sister to see a doctor? Wouldn't that help her?

I've already answered that. If there was something, especially with my parents, we would have caught it. And that's the only thing you're hiding behind which holds no merit at all to it. So, please be a good little inhumane human and answer the question - is the bully on the playground being honest or is the bully on the playground just being mean? I'm figuring you won't answer that question since it's basically the whole case's "smoking gun." Because I really see no difference other than the teacher calling the bully over and the bully saying they were just being honest - after all, Sally is 'fat' and he is 'being honest.' Does that really make it right? Or just childish? The definition of humane is being kind, respectful and caring for others - I'm unsure how calling someone fat is doing that...

So, you and your parents are medical professionals? That must be very convenient. In other words, you are just happy "defending" your sister... whom noone attacked in this thread by the way... but you're not willing to try everything in your power to help her condition. That is truly... heroic.

Dude, to be honest, I don't know if she's seen a medical professional. I'm 24. I mostly spend my time living away from home. And knowing my parents? If it was needed, they did. And if it wasn't - they didn't. My Mom's a nurse dude and there's other medical people in my family. So, yeah, as said - you know absolutely nothing about me or my family and just going after a useless shield which isn't doing you any good or isn't effecting me in the least.

No, you didn't directly go after my sister - but in general? You did. You went after my sister and everyone like my sister. Including someone like my sister who might be on here for all I know or stumble upon this thread. Thus, yeah I felt it was my duty to be the one to take a stand. Someone had to do it.

And you avoiding it IS basically telling everyone here that you are saying the bully on the playground is innocent.

Hell to spin this around on me, is someone brutally calling me a name honest? Yeah, technically I am LGBT. They are being honest. But, they aren't being humane or kind in calling me a name They're negatively calling me out for something that's beyond my control.

Sorry to barge in, but what I meant was being naive was seen as being nice and "sappy" in your response. What I was saying is that I think you seeing the worst in overweight people, or being cynical. You said you hated when people ate and ate unhealthy and did nothing about it. People need to get pushed and encouraged and you need someone in their life willing to drive them. Simply saying "You're fat, stop being fat and complaining about it." won't do much. Another factor is not just obesity but laziness as well. That's why people are just sitting around doing nothing and complaining. For people who seem to have an actual problem with obesity it could be a condition or they need to be pushed even further. Is there a genetics thing where you actually have increased or permanent fat or something like that?

So since you lost the medical thing you're taking the other shield. Lmaol, you are a broken record. I've already said I am just one of many LGBT guys who sometimes slip by saying negatively "that is so gay" - a slip in terminology. It has absolutely nothing to do with the way one thinks but the words that are ingrained into one's head from society.

So, yeah, there is a difference. Me saying it is slipping up due to that term being ingrained from society and is not meant in a negative way. Whereas you're going "haha there goes a fat person."

As I said, it's kind of comical seeing you dance between these two shields of yours. And everybody on here can see it light as day. And now let's guess you'll call me sappy next for calling those two shields out? Or maybe you'll just jump straight back to the medical one regardless? Or pissing and whining that I'm 'derailing' you're 'gain up on the fat people thread' in which case, thank you for noticing my intent on destroying that mob mentality.

Does she exercise? Eating healthy doesn't make you lose weight if you are still putting in more calories than you are burning. That's why on the Biggest Loser they don't just sit there and eat broccoli while watching tv. That show proves that 500lb people can change their lives with hard work.

There are people with thyroid problems but it's very, very rare in relation to the number of obese in this country. If your sister is undiagnosed and has an issue then I wouldn't be blaming this thread and blame her medical negligence. If she has no medical issue then she clearly isn't doing everything she can. I am not trying to be cheeky or mean but seriously have her sign up for the Biggest Loser. Nothing motivates people more than winning money.
