And I see there's already a backlash to this show. lol

Hopefully it's better than the movie (which I liked, but found flawed).

Dat dislike bar, boi.

They had to have known this would be controversial as f***.

Well, It's a good thing the IMDB forums are closing...

I get the sense some white folks genuinely feel their lives are threatened when Black people don't stay in their place. I mean... if Black people can talk back... what's next?

That said, this seems like it may be a re-tread of the movie, in which case... I've already seen the movie. It was awesome, but homegirl is no Tessa Thompson, y'know?

Not sure what the big deal is...

The people who are upset at the show are suggesting that were the show called 'Dear Black People', or something similar, that it would be called racist, and as such are taking the show as a racist attack on white people. It's the same people trying to push the white genocide narrative.

Idiots being idiots, as per usual.

You know, as a heterosexual male I pretty much am a butt of every other joke in entertainment as it is, and I am fine with it. Because I have other **** to do. I feel the people *****ing about this show should take a similar cue.

The only thing the trailer seemed to gain was buzz.
If this bit of promotion was comedic
there would be less commotion.
But hey, no such thing as bad publicity...

LOL @ white genocide. Did they read the name of the show too fast and think it said Dead White People?

Not surprised at the reaction seeing the reaction when the film came out (I ain't forget about you Grace Randolph). Which was equally over the top.I liked he movie didn't love, but I enjoyed it,but I'm interested in the show.I'm even more interested in The Get Down season 2 and Spike's She's Gotta Have it Series.

Why do they even make this kind of shows? Netflix needs attention again I guess.

Genocide white people?

I guess that we're the only ones that haven't had out turn yet. :o

I hated the movie so I don't think I'll be seeing this

The trailer reminds people of the Buzzfeed/MTV videos that has the tone of "this is why white people suck". The difference here though is we don't know the full context and what the message will be so I can't say that it's anti-white. One writer of the show has apparently tweeted "F white people". I remember the reaction to this trailer and you guys picked out one of the most extreme ones.
