Let's see, How many times has Pete died:
1 - Spider-Man #17 - heart attack
2 - Morlun killed him somehow - didn't actually read this....
3 - Amazing Spider-Man #398-399 - Killed by Owl's poison and Doc Ock's concoction which also revived him.

Story wise, what if it's suicide? Depression and suicide are real world issues that this story could address. (sorta like they did with Speedy being addicted to drugs)

I hate these Death of Spider-Man stories. They don't suit him at all. How are we supposed to relate to a character that can come back from the dead x amount of times.
I hope he doesn't actually die.
The only way the Spidey comics are going to be saved is if Slott keeps up stories like part one of BT, and if Spidey doesn't die.

Dead X-Men, Dead Avengers.... Dead Spider-Man...it doesn't have that same ring to it...
It sounds like its a tie-in to Chaos War...
It makes sense....

So many fans of Ultimate Spider-Man care, cause that -to them- is the only source of real good true Spider-Man stories, considering they don't like BND

I read and enjoy both USM and ASM, I still want to see a Spider-Man die, and his death becomes permanent (at least remains there as long as possible), better be in the Ultimate than my favorite Spidey from 616 comics

The Scorpion is still around (also one of Peter's clones) and so is Spider-Woman, but Kaine is dead as far as we know.

Hey, that's a good point! Why hasn't Ben Reilly shown up in Chaos War? Unless...he's not really dead!
