It's still so cryptic and mysterious. I'd like to know what the hell am I going to play.

 

It looks like a game where you...walk.

And walk some more.

Then a little more walking.

Then confusing things, with walking.

But far as I can tell, it's set on a post apocalyptic Earth (?) overrun by invisible aliens (?) and Reedus is some sort of courier of organic ...things...and somehow foetuses can see the aliens like mining carnaries(?) And there's something going on with time distortion...or something.

I dunno, I just want to play the thing.

 

I'm curious to see if this will bite them in the ass at release time. Sure, fans of the creator's previous work and people that like bizarre stuff will check it out, but will the average casual gamer drop $60+ dollars for this weird extremely vague game? Will people on tight budgets take a chance on this during release week? I'm not sure they will.

Googled her picture to see what she looks like now. She still looks good as does Linda Carter (Wonder Woman) maybe babes from the 70's age better.

 

I really liked what they showed on this game, knowing hardly anything about it ahead of time. Very curious to see more.

 

Call me a hater, but dude's been full of himself ever since post-MGS4. He just thinks he's the most creative guy in the room now, and goes on the extreme with his artsy presentation that it muddles out everything else. I had some slight interest in this game since announcement, since I wanted to see what else he can do aside from MGS, and so far, I'm not that impressed. We're 2 years in and we still have no substantial gameplay, nor any idea what this game is even about. All it's leaning on right now is the mystery plot, and the big names attached. That route might work for most movies, but not a $60 video game.

 

This game looks visually stunning, it's fair to say that the Decima Engine far exceeds the FOX engine in so many ways.

 

Visually the game looked stunning but im still on the fence as the bulk of what we seen looked like you are basically being a delivery boy, didn't get much feel for the story.

 

pros:
- the game is dripping in atmosphere
- graphics are top notch
- all star cast I think emphasises the dream like mood of the game, more than maybe original designs would. Can't explain why, just how I feel.
- latest trailer gave more clues that there is indeed a solid concept here and not just a cluster of surrealist abstract elements

cons:
- literally only thing we know of gameplay is that you walk. if that is it, then it's totally unacceptable. I hope there's more, maybe there's some variety of survivalist action on your journey.

I will wait for reviews before buying this one.

ok THIS is amazing, props to Kojima.

 

I have no idea what this game is. It looks intriguing, but the monsters don't seem very scary and a coherent story has never been one of Kojima's strong suits.

Here's hoping all the disparate threads cohere in the end, but so far it almost seems like an aimless vanity project.

 

There's a lot of vagueries, but that's par for the course. It wasn't too different wth MGSV where, for ages he basically just showed cryptic **** that people couldn't really make too much sense of, and then he started to vaguely hint at the story, and only after a while did we really get any solid glimpses at the open world gameplay.

He'll probably do some big reveal either at Gamescon or TGA where we'll get some more solid details on gameplay and story, and hopefully a release date.

 

Production design and attention to detail in Kojima games always blow socks of me.

Still, I have no ****ing clue what this thing is and it's the only reason I can't get fully excited about it.

Death Stranding...one of the most needed games ever looks so cool with that walking dead character

 

Some comments here got me even more curious thinking about this game. I won't buy it at the gate, I'll wait for the entire package to be fully released before I buy it.

I still want to know what explanation will the fetus inside Norman Reedus have.
