Deathlok

Maybe the lack of a following. Maybe the fact that it hasn't been in print for well over a decade.

I don't even remember Blade even having a solo book before the movie.

It was short lived. :csad: Only a year of Blade after two years of Nightstalkers, then it, like most of the mess that was made of the Midnight Sons, vanished into obscurity.

... Until the movie came along.

OK, so that pretty much nullifies the argument of Deathlok's book. C'mon, he's been revived twice, maybe 3 times.

But he hasn't been seen or heard from (that I know of) in at least 10 years. Who's really clamoring for a Deathlok movie? He's pretty much an amalgam of Robocop & the Terminator.

How? Especially when Deathlok predates Spawn?

What?? There's no interest what so ever in Deathlock be it in film or animation. He's so far down the list...

Exactly my point. I'm glad you caught on.

My point is, that's how he'd be perceived. I don't think we're at the point where third-stringers need to be up for movies yet. Next there'll be a thread pushing for a "Slingers" movie.

The Luther Manning Deathlok was in New Avengers last year.

Michael Collins Deathlok appeared in Beyond, Fantastic Four and Black Panther in 2006-2007.

Yeah, Deathlok has been brought back several times for the past 35 years.

If you wanna talk 3rd-stringers, let me bring you back to...Blade! One film, and 2 sequels later...

I'll allow for that. So can lightning strike twice?

I think Deathlok is a much more in-depth character than Blade, so I say yes...unless they do actually just turn him into a Robocop.

Yeah-just like they didn't allow the Blade franchise to end with a lackluster WB comedy.
