NBC Orders Drama Series ‘Debris’ with Jonathan Tucker & Riann Steele – Deadline

A series order had been expected for Debris, which had been in contention to get a pickup before the cast’s options were to expire tomorrow.

As Deadline reported, the project is believed to be the 2020 broadcast drama pilot with the most footage in the can before all Hollywood production shut down in mid-March. The producers were able to edit together the material, complementing the actual footage with additional visuals in the vein of how The Blacklist completed its unfinished episode. The finished product received a positive reaction at NBC, boosting the project’s series pickup chances.

This is going to get canceled :(

That promo really does look Fringe-y. Didn’t realize how much I’d been missing that show.

Cant get over how much this looks and sounds like Fringe

I'm not surprised that this looked like a latter day FringeTV series -- it was created by J.H. Wyman, the one half of the duo Wyman & Pinkner the writers most responsible for the awesomeness of Fringe TV series. The duo wrote over 26 episodes of Fringe.

Hopefully Debris turn out to be good.

Starts tonight.

Well I'm hooked, I was not expecting it it to be creepy.

I generally avoid shows on major TV networks but I’ve always been a fan of Jon Tucker, all the way back to The Black Donnellys. Is this worth checking out?

This is one of those shows I want to be done and wrapped up in one season, cause if it is drawn out then I lose interest FAST.

I was expecting it to be creepy, I wasn’t expecting it to be so emotional.

Forgot this was coming on! Just watched it on CBS.com. Really good show.

Kind of dig the score.

I mostly liked the premier, but for some reason I didn't care for the part of the plot dealing with "the boy".

Quite intriguing pilot --already it's a little unique among the sea of generic TV show, It also shared similar emotional feel as Wyman's previous works in Fringe series. I'm quite looking forward to this show.

Think I enjoyed this episode more than the pilot.

The comparisons to Fringe are just getting ridiculousvlcsnap-2021-04-04-16h31m43s204.png

lol at the appearance of Sebastian Roche aka Thomas Jerome Newton from Fringe (same name as the David Bowie character in The Man Who Fell to Earth).

Will he be responsible for George Jones in the same way as he was responsible for Walternate? lol

I'm enjoying the series so far.

The biggest mystery of this show is why is Jonathan Tucker on the verge of tears in every scene he's in?
