The premise sounds too Castle which is fine if only we had a different and more appealing lead actor and actress.

This looks like a one-off episode, not an ongoing show. Do the police really have magician-related crimes on an ongoing basis? The only thing really appealing to me is the Latino dude from Telenovela who keeps complaining that the magician consultant keeps ruining magic tricks.
