Deleted Scenes Thread

I was wondering is there anything that we've seen in the set reports, tv spots, trailers, stills etc that was left out? Or scenes from the novel?

1) The Fantastic Four store - seen in a picture of Tim Story on set, and apparently in the novel

2) Johnny and Ben in what appears to be a flower shop, and Ben subsequently picking up a truck outside of this shop

Thanks Ted! It's a pity those were left out.I can think of a few reasons why.

What the hell? Why were those cut?

And of course in the novel the whole scene with Doom ripping apart the general...don't know if that was filmed though.

I'm tired of all these Director's Cuts. Is it really so hard to show the true film as it was intended in the first place? Apparently so...

Nowadays you can just expect every studio to release two different cuts on DVD.

So i take it this scene didn't make it into the movie either? Cheerios posted a report and some pics last year.

They were shooting in front of the Baxter Building this afternoon. When I got there, Chris was just finiished and he wallked right past me wearing his FF spandex suit. It's all blue.... the bottom is not black!

Ioan was shooting in front of the FF4 store at the corner of the building. He was being followed & pushed around by a crowd of extras; they're taking pics of him with their cellphones & Ioan yells out "Get out of here!"

It's a stupid trend that needs to be killed off. Us Region 1'ers STILL don't have what the Europeans got regarding X3.

I absolutely agree with Daredevil. The movie made more sense and was just so much better as a whole with the missing scenes.

Haven't seen the extended FF though. Or the extended GR.

Of course they are! Though Ghost Rider's wasn't all too noticable regarding what was cut compared to the likes of F4 and ESPECIALLY DD.

The Extended Cut for F4 doesn't make the movie great or even different like DareDevil's did, but it actually felt complete. So I liked it better

Every movie has things cut and sometimes it's for the better sometimes not.History shows though with Fox (superhero) movies that the cuts aren't always for the better.

Who knows they might surprise us and not release an extended (Director's) cut. Tim Story seemed happy with the final cut though.

I think if you are expecting a list of deleted scenes like there was for X-Men, you might be disappointed I think this film had far less material that we knew about cut from the final version than the first did, or than X3 did.

The dialouge was changed when Johnny was about to chase the Silver Surfer aswell. Can't remember exactly what he said instead of "I just bought this tux".

Yeah I noticed that too and that was annoying to me because "I just bought this tux" sounded so much better. I think he said "but this is dolce" Lets just the hope the final version will show the alternate scenes so we can compare if they removed it for a good reason.

What got me was that the Extended Edition of the first F4 was STILL missing a scene. I remember vividly in the trailers and the teaser it had them all in their silver spacesuits lined up about to board the rocket. I wonder why they'd leave a deleted scene out of the extended cut?
