Hadn't heard of this event before, especially since anything that has to do with comic-book stuff never seems to happen in Colorado. Any fellow comic-book nerds around here in Colorado that are planning to go to this? It'll be my first time at any kind of comic "con", so I'm looking foward to it and seeing Kevin Conroy along with the rest of the DCAU voice cast! :batman:

Here are some relevant links btw:

So many actors I'd like to meet and get a signature or photo but only have enough money for one, any suggestions? :p

Denver is a very nice town. If you go, take some time to look around while you are at it.

So am I the only Hypester that's planning on going to this? Hoped that there would be at least a couple others. Well, still looking forward to it regardless. A bit disappointed that neither Tim Daly or Dana Delany are going to be there, would've been great to see them in person.

Agreed that Denver's a nice town, but if anyone's coming from out of town, I'd recommend a quick side-trip to a town like Golden or Boulder if possible to get a better feel of Colorado, or more ideally a short trip into the mountains of course. Mt Evans isn't a very far drive from the city (maybe an hour or so?) and the view from the summit is spectacular.

Just spent all day at the 'con and wanted to post my Day 1 impressions: wow! Like I said before, this was my first time at any kind of comic con, but I had an idea of what to expect based on SHH's photo coverage of other cons. A lot of cosplayers showed up, and I took a bunch of photos with my DSLR camera (not my phone) which I'll post later.

I got to meet Batman himself, Kevin Conroy, along with GL John Stewart (Phil Lamarr) and Wonder Woman (Susan Eisenberg). It was surreal to meet all of them since I've been a longtime fan of the DCAU. Eisenberg and Lamarr were the most personable, and I gotta say that Lamarr is an amazingly friendly guy in person. He was just incredibly charismatic and spent a good amount of time with everyone that got in line to get to know them.

Conroy, on the other hand, was shall I say more "reserved" but still very generous to all the fans in line. It was also a real treat to hear him sing live at a stage event earlier in the day—someone asked him about that JLU episode This Little Piggy which prompted him to sing Am I Blue, and he indeed does have an amazing singing voice, I was blown away.

Well those are my impressions for Friday, Day 1! Although I'm not going back to the con tomorrow due to a conflict with another thing I have, I will be going back on Sunday to hopefully meet Michael Rosenbaum and Nathan Fillion as well, really looking forward to that! Btw, John Cusack was unexpectedly at the con today, which was also cool. Didn't meet him in person but I did catch him from afar and noticed that he was trying to go all incognito with a baseball hat.

Btw, a fellow Hypester recently told me via PM about the Colorado Springs Comic Con which is coming up at the end of August, some interesting guests that include Karen Gillan! :hrt: http://www.cscomiccon.com/
