just watched the first episode. it sorta had a lack of story but i thought it was alright for a first episode. what did everyone else think?

I liked the fighting a lot. Which should be expected when you have an anime about Dante

I think just getting a Devil May Cry series was awesome.

The problem? There's no Agni and Rudra from DMC 3 as the comic relief. I wonder if this will tie into DMC 4 at all.

Isn't Dante basically the bad guy in DMC 4?

Who knows? It must be for a reason. Just like the third game was a prequel to the first one. And the series seems to be a bridge between 3 and 1.

well dante is a playable character, so hes not really replaced. i reckon the new guy is antother one of his brothers though.

That makes sense. But seriously, how ****ing much did Sparda get around with the ladies?

And from the looks of things Dante looks like the main baddie of the new game much like Virgil was in the third one. You could still play as Virgil, but he didn't have his own separate story. Just playing as Virgil through Dante's game really.

Or is it going to be different for DMC4?

could of been before he settled with dantes mother because the other woman freaked when she found out what he was. did he have a human form btw?

its probly just supposed to look that way for now. oh but you gotta remeber the new guy just wants to kill everything to do with demons and i doubt he knows dante is good. and dante wouldnt just sit back and try to explain hes good.

Yes he had a human form, just like Dante and Virgil have human forms and demon forms. Or he could take a human form as shown by DMC 3 where you could play as Sparda.

How long did he actually settle down with Dante's mom for?

My guess is the moms of Dante and Nero whoever they are had to be some kind of badass warrior females like Trish and Lady.

dont get why he a hunan form if hes 100% demon. i dunno you know, dont really know that much about him tbh.

Think about it. If the dude is a high ranking 100% demon, that means he's powerful. And if he's powerful he can probably take any form he wants. I mean have you played Devil May Cry? These guys are all kinds of ****ed up badass.

Besides, don't you think the devil could take human form if he wanted? Well if Sparda is kind of a devil, than he could do so as well.

This show is awesome by the way. Excellent animation and character designs. The voice for Dante is perfect and they totally nailed him. I hope he uses the other Devil Arms over the course of the show and the Devil Trigger.

This was a fantastic first episode and it left me hungry for more. There was a nice little reference to who I am assuming was Trish who Dante has a picture of on his desk. Did Dante and Trish have something going on?

Really looking forward to the rest of this show.

Well Devil May Cry 1 never had much of a story to begin with. If anything they should've adapted the 3rd game seeing as in the timeline it's first. Unless they did? I can't watch it from this PC.

it didnt really seem like a 100% adpataion atm. the story was new. all that was taken from the game atm is dante and his DMC bussines.
