Thanks Teardrop! I have the 3-disc Criterion Collection copy of Brazil that came out many, many years ago. Great film! Back when Entertainment Weekly was a pretty good magazine to read, and back when DVDs were just starting to get released with special editions with loads of extras, there was an article about the "50 best DVDs to own." This Brazil copy was one of them...and, I think Fight Club was #1. (It wasn't the movie that was considered great, but the extras that made the DVD great.) I wish they would do that again. Many extras on these DVDs I never watch; but, I'd love to know ones that are worth the extra bucks. (I remember This Is Spinal Tap was neat, because it had the actors doing the commentary as their Spinal Tap characters.)

It is worth noting out of those 4 Marvel titles, 3 are $3.99, so it is like buying 4 comics instead of 3. And Marvel wonders why they have diminishing returns sales wise.

As for Kirkman's Image books, while he promised, "On Time in '09", Astounding Wolf-Man was his only series that failed to live up to that promise, running at least two months behind schedule. While Invincible managed to hold up under that bargain, I would imagine having Ryan Ottley co-draw HAUNT has slowed him down, and I wouldn't be stunned if Image put HAUNT as a higher priority since it sells WAY better than Invincible (in fact it has been their best launch of a new ongoing in nearly a decade). INVINCIBLE #70 is at least 3 weeks late, and the book had a scheduled gap before issue #71, to be replaced by a one shot, likely drawn by other artists. One cannot imagine that still selling in Feb. 2010 as promised. But, we'll see.

Okay, as for the Maybes... I put BN: Flash on there becuase though i don't buy the Blackest Night Tie-ins, I was pleasantly surprised at how much Wonder Woman 3 tied in with the rest of the main story, so if this issue of Flash does the same then I might consider picking it up. As for Hulk and Incredible Hulk, I'm taking them issue by issue at this point. I like Incredible Hulk but not the price tag and I'm cautious due to the crossover, but last issue was good and it seems to be fairly self sufficient so we'll see. I didn't plan on getting Hulk at all, but on a whim on a week with extra cash I picked up last issue and it was pretty decent, and I'm starting to become interested in the Fall of Hulks story, so I'll skim it at the shop.

On to the rest...

The most exciting things up there are 1) Marvels 2 which I've been waiting forever to see come out, and 2) Green Lantern and Green Lantern Corps coming out on the same week. Though I'm surprised to see GL 51 prior to the next issue of Blackest Night proper.

Batman and Guardians of the Galaxy are always satisfying reads, and I'm curious if Dark Avengers will actually be a Siege Tie-in this time around. We'll see I guess.

I have to drop some stuff soon. With buying weekly comics,wrestling dvds,video games,school books. I have no money for anything else.

Might I suggest dropping the school books? They are quite obviously the least important of these listed.

I get my son those wrestling DVDs each month. I made an agreement with him. We don't spend the money on the PPVs, and he can get the DVD when it comes out a couple months later. I just can't justify paying 40 bucks or more for them, when he can have a "forever copy" just a couple months later. The only one we do watch on TV is Wrestlemania, since it's the biggest of the PPVs.

Video games don't amount to much for me. It's all just the same damn game, anyway. Although, we got a used copy of Mass Effect for $16.99, and that's a lot of fun. When we finish it, I told my son we'd actually pay the full price and get Mass Effect II.

$40 for wrestling? Criminy, I'm glad I never developed any kind of fandom for that. Although I definitely make up for it with video game expenses. I'm buying Heavy Rain and Mass Effect 2 in the next couple of months. It's really hard trying to remain patient and wait for a Steam sale on ME2, but I'm playing Mass Effect again to take my mind off it. I'd forgotten most of it anyway, so it's a nice refresher for me.
