I Am An Avenger has been decent but I don't know if I'll continue or not. I got the first issue for the Iron Fist story and the second for the Nova story, turns out the Nova story wasn't in the second issue so I got the third for the Nova story. I'm not all that intrigued with the Justice Firestar story to by an issue just based on that so I don't know if I'll be getting this issue. I guess it'll depend on who else is in it. As for Incredible Hulks I haven't decided if I'm dropping it yet or not. Likely I won't get this, especially if it's my wife who goes to pick my comics up. But if I go myself I may be tempted to give it a shot and continue on. I don't know yet.

As for the rest the biggest pain in the neck is Project Superpowers Christmas Special at $6. I never pay that much for comics and I debated this issue since I love the PS universe so much and I remembered that they keep their prices reletively low and for two volumes of PS in a row they started the first issue out at $1. Hey, compared to Marvel I've saved $6 already through them so I can justify the big price on this special to further support their universe. Plus I miss the characters and can't wait for 2011 for Chapter 3!!!

And the remaining three books are just pretty good books. Batgirl is likely my favorite DC book and last issue ended on a great note. New Avengers is my favorite Avenger book so that's always a bonus. Daredevil is interesting as it's the aftermath to Shadowland, which is ending this week.

So all in all it's an expensive small week but one that's at least somewhat decent.

It's basically a trade sided issue. Has about 100 pages, and it's got a lot of little extras:

In addition to the larger-than-life main story, we have a FABLES prose story written by Mark Buckingham and illustrated by Bill Willingham! We have an All-Star Burning Questions section that will knock your socks off (seriously, innocent people are going to lose some socks here). We have a puppet theatre created by the unstoppably creative Mark Buckingham, a FABLES board game, sequential stories painted by Chrissie Zullo and Joao Ruas, and even more surprises in this square-bound behemoth celebrating this award-winning Vertigo series!

I wouldn't expect too much of an issue for X-Mas week at least. Last year Christmas Eve/Day were much closer to Wednesday. The week of New Years might have a delay.

Well, I don't know if it's been said or not, but I think the bulk of the book will be the main story and the back-up features, but yeah, it's pretty hardcore milking on the part of DC/Vertigo. Though, then again, some people do believe in going all-out, balls to the wall with anniversary issues (and any new, original series making it to 100 issues is an extra special occasion nowadays), so maybe it's something some people will dig.
