I read it obviously, and thought it was awesome, captured the character perfectly and set it up for a sweet story to come. But did anybody else on here buy it?

I'm hoping it got the high sales that its quality deserved despite the stupid price tag (3.99)

I bought it and liked it, but wish they did more in the first issue.

Same Elektra just never felt right to me. But I might check it out when it goes on TPB

It was okay. iLol'd at the Bullseye bit.

Did she kick him in the nuts and/or give him sass for killing her?

No, it was just a throwaway line. Elektra is being kept captive by HAMMER and Osborn mentioned something to one of the doctors about not letting "Hawkeye" see her.

Did anybody else's issue seem incredibly thin to them? I was going to check it out but when me and my roommate picked it up at the store, it seemed so much smaller than even any kind of regular issue and I was not going to pay 3.99 or that, no matter how much my interest in seeing her character reintroduced had grown since the start of SI.

Never cared for Elektra at all. I almost liked her more as a dead Skrull. I loved in DAREDEVIL when all my friends were going, "Jennifer Garner was a bit stiff and bland as her," and my answer was usually, "Elektra ACTS stiff and bland most of the time". There are many heroines I do like, but Elektra the anti-heroine who "knows what it is to die" isn't one of 'em.

I think the most I ever liked Elektra was when she was bald and wearing all white clothi--well, whatever the hell it is she wears, since there's too little of it to really call it "clothing." She was trying to walk an enlightened path and leave her assassin ways behind. I think she'd just been resurrected by Stick and/or Stone, too. This was around the same time Daredevil was in his armored costume so, suffice it to say, I'm expecting this to be an unpopular opinion. :)

I remember that. That was around INFINITY WAR I think where Daredevil's doppleganger Hellspawn was still making trouble. Think DD fought Venom around that period for some Maguffin device, but so did everyone.

Murdock's armored costume was silly and very 90's, but not as silly as his original yellow outfit, at least.

I'm planning on reading this. I always liked the character and I'm happy to hear that this is kick-ass.

I like both of them more than his red costume. :oldrazz:

Now you're just weird. That red outfit's iconic. Every time I see the yellow one I just think, "Wow, Murdock really is blind, isn't he?" I mean it's not Crazy Quilt, but it's close. :p

It takes massive balls to wear yellow and red and Daredevil's the man without fear, kid. :oldrazz:

Yep. They should retcon what Bendis did to him (making him homeless and crazy) by saying that was a "malfunctioning" Skrull and write an awesome MAX mini with him.

Well, D-Man's spent a lot of his existence homeless, hasn't he?

Ugh, now we're championing a return of D-Man? Why? I mean I have some favorite D-Listers, just not him.

Daredevil is the Man without Fear but the underworld is supposed to actually fear him. You can't be afraid of a man in yellow. Except Wolverine, because he kills people. Daredevil doesn't. The red costume has worked for so long for a reason. It's simple and works for him. I don't see the appeal of the original suit, and it was traded in very quickly.

speaking of D-Man who's excited for this

MARVEL ASSISTANT-SIZED SPECTACULAR # 1
The Story: Rejects, benchwarmers, lovable losers, and might-be Avengers…assemble! In the beloved tradition of Assistant Editors’ Month, we the staffers are sick and tired of our bosses telling nothing but Wolverine stories, Spider-Man stories, Captain America stories…and we’re taking matters into our own oddball hands! Little guys can be heroes, too…and when this motley crew of misfits gets their shot – in stories featuring Elsa Bloodstone, American Eagle, D-Man, the daughter of Galactus, Mini Marvel cake-eating Hawkeye, Candidate Luke Cage, and more – it could be the start of something big! Don’t miss this two-issue anthology of also-rans who might – just MIGHT – ascend to the A-list! (Fingers crossed. Really we’re just hoping this doesn’t get us fired.)
Rated A …$3.99

In Stores: Apr 1, 2009

I'm debating it. Not a fan of D-Man but it could be decent. Still, it's basically a 2-part anthology, and Marvel's anthologies have been mediocre at best lately. I stuck with MARVEL COMICS PRESENTS for a year and most of it wasn't above average, and ASTONISHING TALES wasn't even worth getting the second issue for me.

I heard there is a really funny Modok story in issue 2 of Astonishing Tales
