Sadly i was on holiday during the comicon event, however my friend had gone to it and sent me some photos... although some interesting pics, this one made me think... did anyone else see this poster?

Well to be fair, you can turn the cheesiest book into an award winning movie or vice versa. Captain Planet could be a good movie if they wanted it to be but I just really doubt it.

This just announced: Al Gore is going to play Captain Planet.

I didn't see the poster either. Notice that the poster is next to Book of Eli and Nightmare on Elm Street; it's at the WB booth. I was there working for three days straight and I just didn't remember seeing that there, AND I think we would have heard something about the new Captain Planet movie/show by now.

Anywya, I remember seeing a poster like that, but for The Blackest Night.

I might be a direct-to-dvd animated film or something. There's no way that a live-action special-effects filled film, which has not been announced, cast or entered pre-production, could make a 2010 release.

Well the way i see it, it could possible be just a premotional poster to say they are going to be working on it, Its like having the a poster that says star trek yet none of the actors are signed at that point...

Looking at the picture although work has been done on the graphics the what i ashume is planet is just a blacked out image, possibly just a image of a captain planet pose.

i think its real - i was planning to go with a couple of friends this year however i booked a holiday without thinking on the same week comicon was on. But they sent me a few photos they took... other photos ive seen before from online pics but i didnt see this one anywhere thats why i opened this topic to see if anyone else saw it, to validate it.

OMG! They are making a Captain Planet movie!! My buds were singing the theme song and told them they saw a poster with something like that when I went with them, but I thought they were lying!!

But according to wikipedia, WB denied that a film is planned in early 2008.

And supposedly, from another unknown source, this is supposed to be released:

So I'd say its a manip for a trailer release, and all in all, this is all fake and that image is Photoshopped.
