Cuz Sabertooth didn't know who Wolverine was when working with Magneto..At the same time he was intrested in Wolverines name tags, intresting stuff.

Some assume Sabertooths animal side just made him dumber over time and caused him to forget.

Until FOX decides to tell us we'll never really know.

And the answer is...

Poor writing! I mean, seriously, if they couldn't even bother to include what happened in X2 with Logan's gory weapon X memories, I don't see why anyone would expect
them to even try to include anything preluding X1.

Eh, just another of the movies many plot holes.

As for an actual answer that has nothing to do with writing, Deathshead's answer sounds, uh, logical I guess.

Well Sabertooth did act pretty stupid in X-Men :oldrazz:
He didn't even really talk. While I like the actor who did X-Men's Sabertooth version, I think I like Wolverines Orgin version better. Maybe its cuz he was more evil thinking and in a more of a hunger moode for fighting his cough brother cough. There's so many questions to this film LOL. While I did like it, yah some crazy plot holes.

Theres still more sequels to come to cover what might have happened to Sabertooth. Since Deadpool survived maybe he tracked Sabertooth down & had a battle with him & possibly stabbed him in the head if that would work the same way as bullets or maybe Sabertooth was further experimented on & it caused him to be the way he was in the first X-Men movie.

How did Wolverine get his jacket back that he left in Gambit's plane? He wore it in the regular X-Men movies so he must have gotten it back at some point. Will Gambit be in the Wolverine sequel simply for the soul purpose to give Wolverine back his jacket? Did Wolverine ever get back the motorcycle that he left behind, was it the one that he had on the back of his truck in X-Men 1 or a different one?

That bike had to have been trashed after he took the copter out. Bikes don't take kindly to being laid down at high speeds.

Well, the movies, and especially with this prequel (X-Men Origins Wolverine) are very inconsistent. I wonder why they couldn't just think it out straight. It's not THAT hard to stay true to one storyline....

Maybe they willmake some amends with the next film. :) Hopefuilly they'll make up for some of those inconsistancies.

I am thinking (or probably more hopeing) that we get a scene in, first class, or probably more fitting in the Magneto movie, to explain this

but, given the significant change between this Sabertooth and what we saw in x1, and how things were left between him and wolverine, with him still seeking revenge, but, knowing he wasn't strong enough, I’d imagine he would try to find some means of becoming more powerful, seeking out someone else doing testing on mutants, or maybe kidnapping some scientists to try to recreate the weapon x program

I kinda picture this scene of Magneto showing up at some mutant test lab, to free the mutants there and recruit any of them welling or able to his brother hood, there he finds a primitive and partly brain damaged Sabertooth floating in a tank or something

you know, the more I think about it, he should get his own spin off
(with all the other spin off rumors going around, he's would probably be one of the mroe intersting once, though, I guess the question there is can Sabertooth work without wolverine?)

The way I see it....Wolverine Origins takes place around 15 years before the first XMen movie. Stryker is shown in the second XMen movie to still be experimenting on mutants. So it is perfectly logical to think that Sabertooth has been experimented on sometime inbetween the movies to be made bigger, more animalistic, dumber, and to lose his memory.

I feel too many people have their FOX IS THE ANTICHRIST AND CAN DO NO RIGHT blinders on and can't be bothered with doing anything except jump on the band wagon and spend their time complaining about everything the studio does.

The alternate mind wipe scene in the DVD extras actually gives a good explanation for it, because Creed is aware of Logan's memory wipe.

Therefore, when they meet in X-Men, he'd know that Logan doesn't remember him. But he remembers Logan, hence taking the dogtags.

He didn't necessarily seem like he knew exactly who Logan was in X1, it was more like he seemed to remember him from somewhere but couldn't quite remember how.

He definitely appears like he had his mind messed with in those 15 years.

That's interesting , I hope they cover it somewhere down the line. We draw our own conclusions until then I suppose.

Victor fell right on his head when he jumped from the tower. In this case, the 'cat' did not land on its feet. There's your answer :p
