Is it just me or did the four villains look similar to the ones in The Lost Boys?

I actually felt much more influence from The Crow on the bad guys look...but it seems I'm the only one who noticed that. Either way, the bad guys look was WAY out of date to be cool. People are calling BlackHeart emo, yet emo kids dont dress that way...he was much more snob-goth looking, whos adult populace is mostly made up of people who got introduced to it as kids with The Crow and Intevriew With A Vampire.

[Err]HAHAAA! THEY DID![/Err] :D

They did remind me a lot of the Lost Boys...Not really getting the Crow villain comparison. Those guys just seemed like a bunch of druggie losers.

My thoughts exactly. I don't hate the movie as much as I'm making it seem. I did enjoy Nick Cage, Eva Mendez's boobs, and the music. I just really hated the villains. And, what was worse than the villains was that Ghost Rider defeated all of them in a total of 10 minutes.

The leader of The Crows villians just looked like a normal druggie loser??

Basically The Crow was what started all this, Blade and The Matrix have kind of influenced and changed the look afterwards, but the goth look is still used in any horror themed movie (for good reason, i suppose).

Since, The Crow, is an awesome movie we don't wanna compare Ghost Rider to that. A comparison to a chessy `80s film directed by Joel Schumacher is better, I think.

Besides, I figured you were talking about the 4 that did him wrong. Tin Tin, Funboy, Skank, and T-bird (at least I think it was T-Bird. Haven't read the book or seen the movie in ages).

I'm just comparing his look...which is very The Crow/Interview With A Vampire-esque. I dont find it very Lost Boys-ish.

And certainly not emo

I must be getting old. What's an emo kid?

Well, to clarify...people in this forum have said its an "emo look"...meanwhile emo is a form of music, not a look...the entire argument is wrong based on that alone. The look commonly placed on the form of music called emo would be properly described as "scene" or "mall-core" both of which descibe the look of kids who are into emo, hardcore, and a variety of other music.

Under its proper definition, an emo kid would be a kid who likes emo music...and emo music can be anything from its original form, which is hardcore with emotional lyrics (about relationships and such as opposed to politics) or its current form, which is essentially pop-punk, sometimes with vocals resembling the earlier forms of emo.

Personally, I thought LB was better than GR, critics tend to agree as well.

The teens in Lost Boys were punk-goth. In Ghost Rider, the villains were just emo looking.

Again, emo is not a look, its a form of music...and the one guy had dreads...that is NOT related to emo in any way

Thanks for the explanation of emo, guys. Still not sure I understand it though. I guess it's a US thing.

BTW, fantastic avatar Comicgirl!

:woot:

Bands that would qualify as emo would be Dashboard Confessional, Fall Out Boy and then there's Screamo which is stuff like Senses Fail and Thrice.

Bands often mislabelled as emo would be Coheed And Cambria and My Chemical Romance...there's a few similarities, but those bands are not emo.

thank you, my friend

My Chemical Romance isn't just emo............they're emo squared

My Chemical Romance is emo??

Is that why the new album steals heavily from Pink Floyd, Queen and Smashing Pumpkins??? I suppose those bands are emo too.
