Just waiting for someone to say, "Dude, it was exctly the same as the version in the previos films...."

I though it was great, the way it rose to almost religious levels with the choir in there, it really matched Singer's view of Superman.

yes and no... while some parts were nice, a lot of it was very repetitive... he could of done a lot better.

I loved it when it was attached to Donner's film, here, with a so-called new film, it was repetitive and unoriginal.

The very end Reprise/Fly away version of John William's theme was perfect.

you know which musical part of ottmans' score was really EXTRAORDINARY besides the theme... the part where Luthor & Co. kick the s**t outta Superman...

How can I love something that's a ripoff of what John Williams created?

eh If you like your music to build up....then fall like an anchor at the bottom of the sea...................

it was building up to the superman theme then screeeechhhhhh!!!!!!

i'd rather stick with the 78 movie version

I like Track 15 on the CD, the last track.

He did a great job. Rather than just give us the old theme over and over again, he threw in hints of the old grandeur that is John Williams at the appropriate moments and ushered in something new. The new themes (particularly Power of the Sun) work extremely well as an addition to the Superman-musicverse, and Ottman's Lex Luthor theme runs laps around the old Lex theme.

i loved it. i liked it better than the original with the choir in there.

I'm a huge John Williams fan but I have to say that Ottman's themes are great. I'm listening to more and more of Ottman scores and like it!

I actually like it better than the original.

I liked parts of it. One that stuck in my mind was the music during the krypton lift. That was good. The rest i can't remember aside from williams' stuff so I guess it was forgettable.

I've seen SR twice....and unfortuantly the only music I can remember is the John Williams score. I know several people have spoke about Ottman's score being stirring and such...but at this point in time I can't remember it.

Loved it mostly. There were some ups and downs in terms of when the music wasn't being thematic. A mixture of this score and Williams score would be perfect. (I mean, like a mixed CD or something)

Various tracks of Williams original score I didn't agree with and various tracks of Ottman's score I didn't agree with. I like how Ottman put in a little more percussion for the main theme and I love the chorus and the new piano/strings theme that he put in there. It gave it more of that "holy" feeling, if you know what I mean.

But, overall, I loved it. He did a good adaptation/upgrade of the themes that Williams established.

In terms of the MAIN THEME, anyone who is complaining about unorginality is full of crap. If they didn't use it you would have been mad, but since they did its "unorginal". Please give some legit reasons to not liking the film instead of just adding to the "I hate EVERYTHING about Superman Returns!" band wagon of fanboy nitpicking.

The theme is as essential to the Superman mythology as blue, red, and yellow tights.

I liked the theme Ottman uses for Superman. The one that appears when he is floating over the Earth after he flies away from Lois and Richards' home. This piece has been used at several points in the movie and gives the film the solemn yet epic feel, specially when its in choir.

I can't get that theme out of my head, it's really good!

I actually LOVED Ottmans score for this movie, i thought it was awesome, and it really added to the enjoyment of the movie for me.

Didn't like it. The original theme now seems dated and cheesy. Another sign of too much borrowing from the original Donner movies.

The John Williams stuff was the only thing I liked about the score. I hated the Ottman everything has to be a damn choir crap.

It wasn't bad, but I wished they would've used an entirely new score.
