There is going to be another hallway scene in season 4 between Oliver and Laurel. Its going to be the opposite of the one in season 2.

But they kind of missed a perfect opportunity for Laurel to rebuild herself after S2/beginning of S3 after Saras death. I could've totally seen someone come up to Laurel and call her by her middle name and she says something about "Call me Dinah" to nod to her kind of re-branding herself.

This year at Dragon Con, my goal was to get my picture made with Katie Cassidy doing the Canary Cry while I covered my ears, but when I approached and asked her, she clasped my hands together (in an effort to comfort me in my inevitable disappointment) and told me that she was not contractually able to do the Canary Cry (in a fan photo op).

But, she offered, “We could do a fighting pose?” and even knowing I had done one with her last year, if Black Canary invites you to fight alongside her…you say yes.

In the quickness of it all, I forgot that I probably should look tough and instead, smiled. I kind of love that I Cisco’ed this picture.

It's really weird that Katie isn't allowed to "perform" the Canary Cry for fan photoshoots. Such a weird thing to put someone under contract for. I guess Stephen can't hold an bow n'arrow in fanshoots either.

It's been both hilarious and sad to see fans make up all these rumors about what happened during these last 3 days of panels with Katie. Katie was constantly interrupting during the panel, that Stephen was shading Katie and Katie, Stephen, that Katie/John were shading Emily. All of which never happened.

I would love it if she appears in an episode, some people are already getting upset at her potentially showing up for 1 episode.

Upset because they dislike Laurel and don't her on the show? I guess. I mean Sara on the show so I don't see what the problem is. I expect if she goes to LOT she would interact with Sara and the other members

Laurel Lance finally got to join the street-fighting team in earnest last season, but her skills have obviously improved heading into Season 4. When asked if she had a chance to train with guest star, and Legends of Tomorrow lead, Caity Lotz, Cassidy had an interesting response:

I have a feeling that she and I will be training together. [laughs] I just think it’s cool. She’s become a really good friend of mine; I totally look up to her. She’s badass, obviously. I feel like she’s a stuntwoman. She’s just so good at it. She’s really dedicated, and I am as well, so I think the two of us, even if it’s on-screen or off-screen, I think the two of us will definitely be training together.

Cassidy wouldn’t reveal anything further, even when asked if the White Canary and Black Canary would team up either on Arrow or Legends of Tomorrow, or possibly both.

I can’t tell you, as much as I’d love to tell you. What’s great about this whole universe and what our producers did so brilliantly, these three shows are all in Vancouver and we’re all in the same world. It’s definitely a possibility for everyone to be crossing over, and with Sara (Lotz) being my sister, you’d think that at least Paul [Blackthorne] and I would be involved in their show, and they’ll hopefully be involved in ours. I’m just so happy to have more friends on the show who are girls. [laughs]

Aside from Laurel fighting as the Black Canary, she’ll continue to have a storyline without the mask, but don’t expect any new romances anytime soon:

I’m really happy because I like the direction they’ve gone with my character. I’m not the girlfriend or the love interest, I actually have my own storyline. I’m not just there to serve as a love interest. Yeah, I’m sure at some point, hopefully … not to be selfish on a personal level, they’ll cast someone to potentially be my love interest. It’ll probably happen and I like that I have my own storyline aside from Team Arrow as well; I have my own identity.

Honestly, I don’t know when they would do it because Laurel, right now, being on the team and being a part of it is still so new to her, that’s just where she’s focused, owning what she’s doing, owning herself, the Black Canary, and proving herself. I think she’s living that world and is supportive of Oliver and Felicity.

So is that a no on Laurel and Nyssa, then? Well, they borrowed other stuff from Batman, so I guess an ambiguously gay duo would be par for the course. It's a shame, though.

Honestly, I think Nyssa is way more into Sara than Sara is into Nyssa, so I think Laurel would be doing them both a favor by helping Nyssa move on.

That panel is on youtube. I guess you could say Katie was trying to get a word in edgewise with John and Stephen, but that's about it. constantly interrupting is way over stating it.

Yeah, it would be great. didn't realize those were seperate deals for crossovers/teamups.

Then again, she also believed when Sara was introduced that she (Cassidy) wouldn't get to be Black Canary. Clearly, she was mistaken in that regard. I'm going to hold out hope that the series ends with Oliver proposing to Laurel.

One thing about Laurel, though, is that at least she knows where her heart is. In S1, even when Oliver told her he still loved her, she tended to be loyal to Tommy, aside from her...uh..."scene" with Oliver in the penultimate episode of the season. Felicity, on the other hand, I find to be wishy-washy. She's like "I love you, Oliver!" but she also likes Ray...oh, and Barry. And she has kissed all three within one season. I like Felicity, but Laurel is more faithful, I think.
