when's the death? 4 x 18? because if Paul B. (Quentin) was supposed to be the death, then the fact he was on facebook showing himself on set for 4 x 21 is it? kind of means either he isn't the death or it's a big attempt at misdirect. If he's not the death and not attempt at misdirect then surely he would know better than to be posting that he is on set 4 x 21? or have they just said to hell with it and given up trying to do any kind of damage control about anything leaking ?

They obviously don't care anymore about keeping it under wraps. Katie dyed her hair, has not been on set since 4x18, and is in NYC while they are filming.

Was anyone else happy to see Laurel back in the courtroom using her lawyer skills? I know I was. :)

The episode as a whole was just so-so, but I thought Laurel provided the episode's best scenes.

BAM! Drop dead GORGEOUS!

I saw someone suggest Katie could play alt universe Laurel/Black Canary for a guest arc on Supergirl.

I would be down for that idea. I think she might get better writing over on that show.

So, we're looking at a 99% chance that this show has done something as galactically stupid as killing off two Black Canaries in as many years. Do Guggenheim and Mericle not even have a sliver of respect for the fact that Black Canary is kind of an incredibly important part of doing a Green Arrow show?

They just want to drive home the fact that "this isn't the comics, we do want we want"

Just because I put Oliver and Felicity together, give them almost all the screen time, have them be the main topic of all the other characters conversations, gave her mother a much bigger role, killed off Laurel Lance the character they hate more than anything else on the show, doesn't mean I pander to that specific group of fans. - Guggenheim probably.

This show really needs new showrunners, I can't think of any other way it could turn things around at this point.

Yup. But doubt anything will change. In an alternative universe this would've been a good April Fools, but alas.

For everyone else who feels like this, if you haven't stopped watching in some way that gives these people the idea that what they're doing is okay (live and on-demand being the main ones I believe as well as online at the channel websites), I would ask that you join me in not watching this show in a way that contributes to their rating. Let's show them that making this choice will end up costing them. Let's see if the Olicity fanbase is as powerful as they claim. Our numbers against theirs.

I'll finish out the season, but there's a very good chance that I'll quit after it ends.

I know its not going to happen, but I would have done almost anything to have seen Laurel moved over to Flash & Central City, instead of killing her off.

Guggenheim, Mericle & CW are such idiots. Killing off BC in a GA show is like not having Iris on a Flash show, or have her get killed off too.

If this is true I'll stop watching.

Hopefully they fake her death for whatever reason and she moves to a new city for a Birds of Prey spinoff

Knew this a long time ago, I even posted it on here but no one believed me lol.

I will be very unhappy if Laurel is killed off, but the bolded is wrong. Nolan made the best Batman movies ever and told some of the greatest Batman stories ever, and Robin (if you even consider him to be Robin) featured far, far less in them, than Black Canary has in this show (and Robin is more important to Batman than BC is to Green Arrow).

If you think the show is bad or that they are not doing a good job adapting Green Arrow, then fair enough. But Black Canary is not essential to them doing a Green Arrow show or movie. There is nothing wrong with doing a GA show without BC, same way there is nothing wrong with doing a Batman movie or show without Robin.

The difference between the Black Canary and Robin is he's a teenage side kick and she's a hero on the Green Arrow's level. She is one of the few characters let alone women to survive the era when comics nearly died. She's as pivotal to the Green Arrow mythos as Mary Jane Watson is to Spider-Man without the damsel in distress label normally assigned to the hero's love.
