I think its bull**** that he isn't getting fired. The 1st Amendment has limits. And I think one of your detectives calling for the killing of people you protect makes him unsuited to law enforcement. This is what "religous freedom" is leading to.

The first ammendment only pertains to and prohibits Congress passing laws that limit speech or religion. It doesnt pertain to or prohibit an employer firing an employee for disgusting and reprehensible actions or words.

I'm sick and ****ing tired of people thinking the 1st amendment protects them from consequences in all situations. And I'm sick and ****ing tired of the media not refuting this foolish ignorance. When someone says, "but the 1st amendment!" The reporter or journalist should quote the actual ammendment and make the person explain how Congress passing laws that limit their freedom of speech has anything to do with their situation.
