🇺🇸 Discussion: General Election 2024, 🥥 VS 🍊

US News
I can tell the Koch’s are sitting out this election cycle. Up through 2022, their dark money groups like Americans for Prosperity (lie) would take out a ton of radio and TV ad buys attacking Dem candidates— particularly in purple states. And in midterm years they’re relentless.

The main political ad buys this year in NC have been for Madame VP and Josh Stein. They are saturating the AM and FM markets here in the Raleigh-Durham metro area. There’s an occasional ineffective FDJT, Robinson or anti trans GOP TV ad (plus a ton of mailers). Rs are being outspent here in North Carolina.

Seems overly optimistic, that map shows Ohio as a toss up leaning Trump, he has a 10 point lead here, so Ohio isnt flipping, Florida would take alot to flip that and i simply dont see that happening, ive read that Kamala as a comfortable lead in New Mexico, but i havent seen anything in swing states, the only way Ohio flips is if Trump continues to drag Ohio down with his Haitian racist attacks as many here in Ohio support the Haitian community and this is putting Ohio in a very bad light, but it may be to late to turn opinions here.

He’s been very accurate with past cycles. One of the early predictions he was spot on was the Alabama special election in 2017. And with last year’s elections in WI, OH, KY and VA.

Thats interesting, here in Ohio everything we are seeing is attack ads against Senator Brown, someone is spending alot of money here to defeat Brown, i did see my first Harris/Walz ad, but only one, everything has been the senate race here, Moreno is getting alot of help here, radio ads saying Brown voted to support transgender biological males to compete in womens sports, surgery for minors to transition to a different gender and Bidenomics that is raising fuel prices 50% and ruining Ohio familys, really?

Hopefully that's a good sign that Democrats will win North Carolina this year.

Thing that is odd is the people taking shots at him are his own people, left leaning people up till now have not been the people doing this, both are republicans who had different views of Trump, one thought he wasnt extreme enough and the other lost faith him in. The problem i am seeing is the disregard for order by both Elon Musk and the libertian party both suggesting killing both Biden and Harris, what has happened to us that that is ok to even think, let alone put out to the public?

Portage County sheriff: 'Write down the addresses' of Kamala Harris supporters who display yard signs

Sheriff Bruce D. Zuchowski, who took office in 2021, made the remarks in Facebook posts shared to two separate accounts on the night of Sept. 13.

saw that, more and more evidence of Maga taking over Ohio

Richard Uilein is likely the guy funding those dark money PACs in Ohio to try to unseat Sherrod Brown. If I recall correctly, his groups tried to keep Janet Protosaewicz from winning last year’s WI election (but failed).

It sure sounded that way Thursday at a rally held by the former president in Tucson, Arizona, where he took note of the changing demographic of his supporters and wondered aloud if they will be to blame if he’s defeated on Election Day.

“We have a lot of young people here,” Trump said. “My audiences, they’ve gotten younger and younger, do you notice that?”

The crowd cheered as the 78-year-old former president basked in their appreciation. But rather than embracing their support and using it as a reason to emphasize his movement as a political movement focused on the future, he pivoted to reassuring the audience that he hadn’t changed one bit.

“Don’t worry, I still like the old people the best, I don’t care!” he exclaimed, pointing at the supporters directly in front of him.
The audience roared even louder than before. Trump grew even more animated.

“I don’t care, let that cost—all these young people,” he said, gesturing to another section of the crowd. “Let that cost me the election. I like the—I still like the old people the best. Got to stay with the people that got you there, right?"

Indeed, the people who sent him to the White House in 2016 were older, according to an examination of exit polling from his election victory over Hillary Clinton performed by Pew Research. He fared well among 50- to 64-year-old voters at that time, and even better with those aged 65 and older.

Musk would run but I think he’d lose if he even made it out of a primary. He could also run as an independent.

The racist lie that Donald Trump and running mate JD Vance have promoted about Haitian immigrants eating people’s pets may motivate enough voters against the Republican Party to flip the House to Democrats.

A new ad from the Congressional Black Caucus Political Action Committee aims to do just that. The ad, titled “Our Unity is Our Strength,” features a Haitian American woman providing narration.

“They want to tear us apart,” she explains as the ad highlights the most recent smear and connects it to Trump’s history of bigoted rhetoric, most notably his 2018 reference to Haiti, El Salvador, and African nations as “****hole” countries.

She concludes, “Remember, our unity is our strength. L’union fait la force.”
