Had some guy over the weekend on instagram tell me that Trump will win by a landslide, that no one wants a black women for president, and that her rallies are all fake.

When you've gone down the NewsMax and OAN rabbit hole and only listen to far-right podcasts like that person probably does, there's no hope of recovery, unfortunately. :(

Overconfidence keeps some from voting.

Our recent presidential elections are too close for comfort.

Elections are close, there’s no more landslides since the 1980s and Democrats have led the popular vote in every election since minus 2004.

I have no doubt that it will be more difficult to elect a black woman president in the US. The fact is that there are some people who won't vote for her because of that. "More difficult" doesn't mean it can't, and won't, be done. Same with electing a gay president. It's an unfortunate truth, but those people are in a decided minority and most people aren't going to auto disqualify someone because of their gender or race. Those who don't want a woman of color were probably going to vote for Trump anyway. He attract bigots like rats to donuts.

Nobody attracts bigots like he does. It's incredible and people are amazed by it. They ask him "How is it you can attract so many bigots?" and he says "All you have to do is be a senile bigot yourself and they'll vote for you.".

Watching the news at noon today, NBC polls say its a deadheat 48% Harris/48% Trump and now we have reports of armed Militia hunting FEMA employees in North Carolina so more Trump hate spreading, which will likely force the DoJ and home land security to deploy FBI and Federal Marshalls to protect FEMA

I believe this country is ready to elect a women of any color, we are supposed to be a progressive country and we are behind other countries that have elected women to lead (Germany, England, Mexico) and I have zero doubt in Kamala Harris to lead this country

MSNBC says Harris' numbers are falling as dumb Americans respond gleefully to Trump's lies and hate. I'm getting depressed again. I need this election to be over.

I hope, and think, you are correct.

After everything (including a full Trump term), still only at a dead heat. What a sad state of affairs. :csad:

Again, don't pay attention to one poll. If several polls come out showing Trump consistently gaining, then there may be something to it. I'd go into detail, but doubt any of you need your sleep......

Republicans always get an October polling bump up if you look at the charts over the past 10 years.

I agree, but sadly im not sure what if anything Harris can do to regain the momentum, Trump hasnt really done anything different, he is still lying and looking feeble yet polls continue to show him gaining, Harris has been doing media blitzs now for over a week and all have been successful, im not sure what she can do now to take the momentum away from Trump, there isnt much more Trump can do to shot himself in the foot, he looks terrible every time i see or here him.

It really is. There is no good reason for it other than my country is too full of bigots, misogynists and hate for democracy to survive.

Sadly i agree, and frankly the media is as much to blame for Trump than anything, all we heard was Bidens age, then he drops out, crickets about Trumps age, nothing about the obvious fascists rhetoric, his mental decline, his illegial phone calls with Putin after he left office, his administration giving Putin top of line Covid tests while americans died, his misinformation about Huricane relief efforts and FEMA, all we see is his coherent moments, and its not just Fox and OAN, its CNN, CBS, ABC, MSNBC, NBC everyone makes Trump look good and Harris gets very little attention, if Trump wins, its because our "Liberal" media gave it to Trump.
