🇺🇸 Discussion: General Election 2024, 🥥 VS 🍊

US News
Joe Scarborough (former Republican): "TOP OF DRUDGE Harris— 49 Trump—46 This is the first release of TIPP’s 23-day tracking poll series. “Recognized by The Washington Post in 2020 as the most accurate national presidential poll.” CBS—Harris +3 ABC—Harris +3 NBC— Dead Heat"

Not enough to raise my sagging spirits.

The difference between a +2 and +3 could be a win and a loss (2016 Clinton +2). That's why it's close and may come down to 1 state or less (electoral votes in Maine and Nebraska).

There's three potential scenarios and Scenario A has happened in recent past history
a) Democrats are overestimated / Republicans are underestimated in polling (like in 2020 and 2016)
b) polling is accurate
c) Democrats are underestimated / Republicans are overestimated in polling

Gov. Walz: Trump just crossed a line that I have to tell you, in my lifetime, I would have never imagined. He said he would deploy the military against Americans who disagree with him. He called it the 'enemy within.' To Donald Trump, anybody who doesn't agree with him is the enemy. We need to put this guy behind us

And how is this guy still legally able to run for office after making threats like that?

Watching the news at noon today, NBC polls say its a deadheat 48% Harris/48% Trump and now we have reports of armed Militia hunting FEMA employees in North Carolina so more Trump hate spreading, which will likely force the DoJ and home land security to deploy FBI and Federal Marshalls to protect FEMA

Just because the media embraces a lot of rightwing polls, doesn't mean that there is something that has fundamentally changed. Hell, there was one poll that had PA in a dead heat, but when you look further into its data, it had excluded ALL of Philadelphia, which, uhhh, kind of a big portion of PA' electorate.

But there is a clear tend that she is losing support

It would be both disappointing and extremely disheartening if Trump still ends up winning even after everything that he's said and done going into this year's election.

I'm also curious if the entire military would still support him if he planned on moving forward with his violent plans towards anyone that doesn't follow his rule.

How much of that is that we are being flooded with right wing polls?

It’s the same ones that were flooding the MSM outlets with the breathless “2022 is going to be a red wave!” nonsense. And it didn’t.

Please take polling with a generous amount of salt in the last three weeks of election season. What I’m seeing on the ground isn’t being reflected by partisan RW polling outlets.

I also wonder how much the hurricanes & displacement have messed up phone polling and early voting and election day voting in the South.

It has to have some impact, especially if post offices got flooded or wiped out.

I know I feel that way. Like Fascism is just too strong to kill.
