🇺🇸 Discussion: General Election 2024, 🥥 VS 🍊

If the Selzer poll does show movement to Madame VP in the Midwest overall, then Tester, Rosen and Brown get re-elected.

I do think there will be significant arm twisting (and a pressure campaign) if Osborn does go to the Senate and he’s the pivotal vote. I do not see him pulling a Manchin or Sinema to preserve the filibuster.
I think Rosen is likely to win. Brown.....I'm not sure, but I think he has a leg up. Tester.....I just don't see it. Things would have to be pretty skewed for him to win.

In the pivotal senate races, I think the most likely to win are (in order)

Alsobrooks (I wouldn't even mention this except Hogan is running)
Gallego
Slotkin (these 3 in any order)
Baldwin (these 3 in any order)
Casey (these 3 in any order)
Rosen
Brown
Osborn
Allred
Tester
Mucarsel-Brown

In a post on X, formerly Twitter, Moore, a pollster for the Alaska Survey Research, noted that while the presidential race in Texas is "going to be close," he predicted that Cruz "is gonna lose for sure."

"Is Kamala Harris going to win Texas? I think it's going to be close! Ted Cruz is gonna lose, for sure," he wrote.

In a separate post on X, Moore suggested that polls have Allred running ahead of Cruz and wrote, "The polls had Allred consistently running 4/5 pts better against Cruz than Harris against Trump. Texas always an outlier, but Cruz's days are numbered."

Taylor Popielarz: “As Trump and his campaign criticize Iowa pollster @jaselzer, I dug through my archives and found Trump saying this last December:

"...they have a great pollster, actually, a very powerful pollster, very good, talented pollster. Of course, if my numbers were bad, I wouldn't be x.com

There’s a non-zero chance Don Jr. and Elon Musk run for office in the future. Musk can’t be president but he could run for TX Governor for example.

Glad Elon at least isn't eligible.

Anyone else kinda concerned about individual acts of violence across the country if Trump loses again? After 2020, his supporters are more "passionate" than ever and they may respond to defeat in a way that'll make even Jan 6th look like nothing.
No. In any case, there are more of us than them.
