I've been wondering. Are there laws or constitutional rules stopping blue states from getting together and setting up a multistate single payer healthcare system for themselves and just letting red states keep their awful private health insurance system? Does it really need to be all 50 states or nothing?

I remember years ago reading something that basically said that when it came to treatments that not only could protect from or reverse neurological damage in the brain in the future that a possible if not likely outcome would be accidentally coming up with methods to extend human life well beyond the natural limits.
