I'm sure if the media got wind of a bigoted Imam going on a bigoted tirade that **** would end up on the news and most likely he'd end up on the FBI Watchlist.

He's dangerous and that's all that matters. And there are tons of homophobic people who are obsessed with us who probably aren't gay. In Australia last year an Australian government member complained about gay people showing porn to minors. It was a picture of a guy with a rowing oar. He thought it symbolised a penis.

Homophobes are nuts. They don't need to be closeted to be hateful

I've never met a gay Republican, unless you count closeted Republicans. That cognitive dissonance must be powerful.

I had to pretty much come out to my girlfriend, who is trans, as a Republican last year when we were at Pride. Perhaps not the best moment to choose to do that but it's all good still going strong a year later.

Me too. It was wild; me and a friend got really drunk one night, and before you know it, we successfully petitioned city council to rescind an unnecessary land-use tax. We're still friends, but we don't really talk about it anymore.
