It's soup in español.
It's soup in español.
Oh, that totally makes it ok.![]()
So what exactly is SOPA? I'm not sure I'm familiar with it.
Why would that make it okay? I don't want to have to rely on anonymous proxies. They are useful but can be quite slow at times.
Companies can say, "lol hey, there's copyrighted material on this site. Block that s**t."
And then everybody in America can't access that entire site anymore.
We have to prepare for every possibility. Don't be too sure that the supreme court will shoot this down. Write your congressmen just to be sure.I'm not concerned about these laws. The ndaa will be declared unconstitutional by the supreme court the moment someone gets detained under the law.
SOPA is a law that will also go to supreme court because it violates several laws in place also.

If Congress lets this pass, everyone currently there would kiss their jobs goodbye. Guaranteed. There are entire companies that rely on Facebook and YouTube for their income. Not only that, the site could be completely taken down, specially if the site's master server is in the U.S. No one around the world would be able to access it.
That's why sites like Facebook and Youtube would be gone.

Let's hope they do. I think this could be the start of something much worse if people dont stand up and protest. But Google and Facebook need to join...

i did a little searching on the internet and here's what i found:
Committee Chairman Lamar Smith:"SOPA targets only foreign Web sites that are primarily dedicated to illegal and infringing activity. Domestic Web sites, like blogs, are not covered by this legislation."
http://www.nytimes.com/2012/01/10/opinion/fighting-online-piracy.html?_r=1
"This bill does not make it a felony for a person to post a video on YouTube of their children singing to a copyrighted song. The bill specifically targets websites dedicated to illegal or infringing activity. Sites that host user contentlike YouTube, Facebook, and Twitterhave nothing to be concerned about under this legislation" http://www.greeleygazette.com/press/?p=11974
I agree with what the CEO of Go-Daddy said "Fighting online piracy is of the utmost importance, which is why Go Daddy has been working to help craft revisions to this legislation"
I agree with the idea of the bill but I think it need to be refined
