And a reminder. The dreamers were kids who were brought over by their parents. And those in the DACA program have had to abide by some pretty good standards of being a good citizen. I am sure you are all for deporting the 900 dreamers who are currently active in the military, as well.
First off, i never understood HOW THEY Were even allowed to get into the military in the first place.. Let alone pass a security backround check.
That said, i've always felt serving in the military SHOULD be a pathway to citizenship.. FOR THOSE who legally come here in the first place. Not for those who came in illegally (even if it was their parents who brought them here). That said, if they are honorably serving, let them stay. BUT NOT their extended family.
And good to know that drunk driving is murder now. You will pardon me if I don't see what being illegal immigrant makes it any different than any other drunk driving accident.
The fact, that YET AGAIN someone who's not supposed to be here, not supposed to be driving, and has been repeatedly deported, is BACK IN country, killing US citizens.. AND A KID at that.
So where's all the cries from the left about "WE need to ban X, do it for the kids"??
How do conservatives square their need to "punish" sanctuary cities with their embrace of "nullification" and "states rights"?
Because Immigration is NOT a state right but a federal one.
Dreamers are as American as anyone else for all intents and purposes,
Are they?? How many times do we see these "dreamers" in marches, flying their home country's flags?
I certainly don't see that as being 'as american as anyone else'
Also for a member of the military to support deporting fellow servicemen who are risking their lives for this country, and their families.....well, I'm not sure exactly what word I'd choose to describe that, but I don't know that it would be "patriotic".
Pray tell, where have i said that illegals/dreamers in the military should be rounded up and deported??
