Well, I'm pretty sure their uprising was different. One a kid of a scientist, the other the kid of an owner of an emerald mine.

 

Upbringing has a lot to do with that, no doubt. Kids take on the values of their parents. Just sucks that so much hate is passed on that way.

 

Elon grew up a sheltered life and is nothing more than an entitled trust fund brat

The other day, I posted something saying words, in and of themselves, were meaningless and that the meaning we attributed to them was all important. I misspoke.....what I should have said is that "a word" is meaningless and that the meaning we attach to it is everything. I used the idea of taking back what was once considered a "derogatory" term; specifically "queer" and chuckled at the fact that I remember people saying that the word "gay" had been stolen.

"Words" are important and when you string them together, there's no other way to look at it.

Make no mistake.....these people are testing the waters and seeing just how far they can take their hateful rhetoric, bigotry, and stoking of fear.

He was always baffled by racism, hated it.

Hell, his band had LEROI MOORE and CARTER BEAUFORD (plus Boyd Tinsley - even though he's been controversial recently).

DMB was more interracial than most alt-rock (let alone jam) bands even today and they started in 1991.

 

I love Dave and the folks who play with him. I doubt he has racist bone in his body, music is universal and helpful with that, I believe.

Birthplace of the KKK totally fine with no hoods. Listening to some of the GOP speeches, yeah, they trying really, really hard not to use "boy" and "uppity", among other choice words.

 

So not only racism but also a violation of our right to protest and an attack on our democracy.

Fascism and neo-confederates go together like bread and butter.

Good luck finding a prosecuter who thinks they can convince a jury "yeah, secretly recording people who want to kill you" is a crime.

 

I'd love to see those jerks lose their jobs, though.....
