🇺🇸 Discussion: The DEMOCRATIC P - Part 3

US News
You're a butthead, Santos! Universal Healthcare should be a right!

Santos is showing why he should never have been elected, again.

I'm sure it's the goal. The few legislating the many. The American Taliban. :(

Pennsylvania Governor calls for raising minimum wage to $15 an hour
The state’s current minimum wage is $7.25 an hour, something Shapiro says is “not a livable wage in 2023.”

“Our minimum wage makes it harder for Pennsylvania to compete and hasn’t been raised in 14 years,” said Shapiro.

Pennsylvania’s minimum wage is lower than that of 30 other states, including all of its surrounding states.

Yeah. That Santos is a class act. Dignified AND honest......

Democrats somehow managed to pick up a senate seat in the midterms and we still aren’t able to confirm judges thanks to Feinstein’s arrogance. I don’t blame Republicans for not voting to let someone temporarily replace her on committee because I wouldn’t expect anything less.

This is all on Democrats who always snatch defeat from jaws of victory. Durbin could also easily ignore the blue slip tradition like Republicans did during the Trump years. Quit holding to some romanticized notion of tradition when people’s livelihoods are at stake.

More reason to ignore Republicans. They pull all kinds of shady **** so let the Democrats do it once and start to clean this mess up.

Kansas Reflector - Kansas governor shoots down [Republican] anti-transgender bills that could involve genital inspections
House Speaker Dan Hawkins implies Gov. Laura Kelly was high when she vetoed bills

RepubliQans: 'Only somebody who is high doesn't hate transgender humans and doesn't wants kids to submit their genitals for genital inspection'

“By stripping away rights from Kansans and opening the state up to expensive and unnecessary lawsuits, these bills would hurt our ability to continue breaking economic records and landing new business deals,” Kelly said. “I’m focused on the economy. Anyone care to join me?”

Hawkins said he and other Republicans would attempt to override Kelly’s veto of the bills after the Legislature returns next week. The Kansas GOP has issued this message for all of Kelly’s vetoes.
