Pretty sure the House of the Mouse has more than enough economic/cultural/military power to crush Florida if DeSantis gets too uppity.

Not really. They bring a lot of revenue to the state but it’s not like they can just pick up and leave. DeSantis gas turned Florida from a moderate red to full blow MAGA state.

 

Not gonna pass, but they're gonna virtue signal over it anyway.

If House Republicans want to get some bipartisan stuff done, they can work on a federal minimum wage increase. You have these red states like FL, AR, NE and MO passing wage increases by ballot referendum. After state Rs complain a bit about "increasing prices", they simply shrug it off. Something's wrong with this country when freaking Arkansas has a higher minimum wage ($11/hr) than North Carolina ($7.25/hr).

It would be a win-win for them. They would get something done that most Americans (and POTUS) want.
