We will march with rifles loaded & slung across our backs to put the government on notice that we will not be intimidated & cower in submission to tyranny. We are marching to mark the high water mark of government & to turn the tide.

Yeah if you want to send a message what a bunch of lunatics gun rights people are send 10k people to march with guns in Washington. That will really rally those non committed voters on the subject of gun rights on your side.

Group creates first working 3d printer made gun plans on posting the blueprints online.

The world's first gun made with 3D printer technology has been successfully fired in the US.

The controversial group which created the firearm, Defense Distributed, plans to make the blueprints available online.

The group has spent a year trying to create the firearm, which was successfully tested on Saturday at a firing range south of Austin, Texas.
Anti-gun campaigners have criticised the project.

Europe's law enforcement agency said it was monitoring developments.

Victoria Baines, from Europol's cybercrime centre, said that at present criminals were more likely to pursue traditional routes to obtain firearms.

She added, however: "But as time goes on and as this technology becomes more user friendly and more cost effective, it is possible that some of these risks will emerge."

Defense Distributed is headed by Cody Wilson, a 25-year-old law student at the University of Texas.

The gun was made on a 3D printer that cost $8,000 (£5,140) from the online auction site eBay.

It was assembled from separate printed components made from ABS plastic - only the firing pin was made from metal.

Mr Wilson, who describes himself as a crypto-anarchist, said his plans to make the design available were "about liberty".

He told the BBC: "There is a demand of guns - there just is. There are states all over the world that say you can't own firearms - and that's not true anymore.

"I'm seeing a world where technology says you can pretty much be able to have whatever you want. It's not up to the political players any more."

Asked if he felt any sense of responsibility about whose hands the gun might fall into, he told the BBC: "I recognise the tool might be used to harm other people - that's what the tool is - it's a gun.

"But I don't think that's a reason to not do it - or a reason not to put it out there."

Smuggling a weapon though metal detectors just got eaiser I guess.

I loved how the mainstream media did all their coverage on the NRA about the protester outside. All 12 of them.... : / They had to have gotten some close shots, because there was literally only about 12.

That's it? They sure made it out to be like there were about a hundred.

This won't dramatically increase gun violence unless 3D printers becomes WAY more widespread. But yeah, an entirely plastic gun is really scary as far as airports and courthouses are concerned.

Didn't that 2nd amendment hating Ronald Reagan sign a law that banned plastic guns? He really hates our liberties and freedoms.

If it ever gets to the point where 3D printed guns become a viable commodity, the gun industry will make sure that people will not be printing their own guns. That would cut into their bottom line.

At certain times there were that many, most of the time when I drove by only 2 or 3 people. They interviewed the daughter of the Principal that was killed at Sandy Hook Elementary. She had close to a dozen around her, but if you saw it ABC news when they interviewed her, the camera angle made it look like there was 50+. There was never that many at any time. I really thought there would me more, I'm kind of disappointed.

The gun is not worth a darn after more than a couple shots so it's more for someone who is criminally-minded than for people who conceal carries and/or go hunting or to the gun range.

And that's why people have a huge problem with this.

I know right...the real joke was the people inside...

I was just coming here to post this. That NRA meeting was the biggest load of BS I have seen in a while, and the fact that all those people were cheering and just eating that **** sandwich up makes me sad and furious at the same time.

Surprisingly, CNN has posted it as well, but MSNBC will never admit to this or report on it. They are so far up Obama's ass they know what his food tastes like before he puts it in his mouth.
