Discussion: The Supreme Court II

The truth of conservative judicial theory rears its ugly head again. We all get so relieved when they pass on social issues or stuff like vaccine mandates, but that isn't what it's about for them. That nonsense is purely performative demagoguery for the elected candidates. No, they're wholly interested in preserving corporate hegemony and the power of the wealthy elite at the top of the status quo. And so they grin at the accolades they reap from shallow libs while gleefully toasting each other about how they insured that landlords across America can throw poor people out on the street in the middle of the pandemic. All hail the free market, baby!

Said in a straight face in front of Mitch McConnell.

It's because McConnell is a piece of **** that is actively trying to wreck the country. He's a hypocrite, a liar and a terrible ****ing human being.

The plan is to turn the United States into a fictional ideal of 1950's America. Gay people don't exist, "colored people" know their place, women stay in the house and preferable the kitchen. Men can be *******s freely and without consequences and no one gives a **** about anything that doesn't directly affect them.

I really wish Congress would work on unpacking the courts when/if they get a voting rights bill passed and signed into law.

Make it harder for Rs to push through Federalist Society hacks with term limits on SC nominees.

He's also a well known hypocrite and liar.

Couric says she edited Ginsburg interview to 'protect' justice from criticism

In the version of the interview that was eventually published, Ginsburg referred to the protests during anthems before football games as “dumb and disrespectful.”

In her book, Couric wrote that Ginsburg also said the protests showed "contempt for a government that has made it possible for their parents and grandparents to live a decent life," according to DailyMail.com.

"Which they probably could not have lived in the places they came from ... as they became older they realize that this was youthful folly," Couric quoted Ginsburg as saying. "And that's why education is important."

Dammit, SCOTUS... giving cops immunity to crimes should not be legal.

This is ****ing insane. The levels of incompetence, prejudice, ignorance, and injustice that I can't always blame folks for giving up.
