I'd love to see a federal ban on the death penalty.

“Clarence Thomas is, at the least, unethical. Should be removed from the bench. His wife, Ginni Thomas, is disturbed. Come at me. I got receipts.” Riggleman said.
With the up coming election, i can safely say we can not trust the supreme court, the more we know about what the conservative judges are doing, meddling in January 6th cases, being out right Maga, i dont believe the court if called upon would stand up for a fair election, they have bailed Trump out numerous times and i suspect with their help and speaker of the house, they could very well throw the election to Trump
That's why I'm hoping for something of a blowout so nobody can contest it.Trump doesn’t have the bully pulpit of the Oval Office anymore. But this election has to be won by a significant margin. The bigger it is, the less likely SCOTUS will throw FDJT a bone.
It would be nice to see all of that happen next year, assuming the Democrats can get a majority in the House and Senate. The Supreme Court is broken—but this bill could fix it
On Thursday, Democratic Sen. Ron Wyden of Oregon introduced a bill to overhaul the Supreme Court, including adding six justices to the court. It would do this over 12 years by having future ...www.dailykos.com
If Ds can retain the presidency and Senate and flip back the House, this has to be the top three bills to be considered in 2025.
Nuke that filibuster and ram it through. I don’t give a s**t how Republicans cry crocodile tears over stuff like this after their trifecta from 2017-2019. Codify this, codify Roe and codify the John Lewis VRA (the version that doesn’t let red states use photo ID laws). Then make D.C. the 51st state, increase the federal minimum wage and go all in on renewable energy.

The guidance made clear that under that law physicians must provide a woman an abortion if needed to resolve a medical emergency and stabilize the patient even in states where the procedure is banned, and that the measure pre-empts state bans that offer no exceptions for medical emergencies or with exceptions that are too narrow.
Texas law prohibits abortions unless the pregnancy places the woman at risk of death or “substantial impairment of a major bodily function”.
Republican-governed Texas and two anti-abortion medical associations – the American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians & Gynecologists and the Christian Medical & Dental Associations, sued the administration, arguing that the guidance unlawfully purports to compel healthcare providers to perform abortions.
