Anyone watching this stuff going on in the UK? It's going to be a long weekend in the UK. :hehe:

I don't have a horse in this race but it's going to be fun to watch.:hehe:

Who do you think should run the UK government?

Liberal Democats. All the parties are just awful, but the Liberal Democrats are the ones I dislike the least.

I honestly can't believe so many people voted for Gordon Brown. What the **** is wrong with people? He has ruined this country and they want him in for another term!?!?

Seriously, if i find out someone voted for him i don't think i will be able to contain my rage.

We went through the same thing over here in 2004, man. And we got 4 more years of downslide.

They just better sort this out or else we have to have another election or the unelected octogenarian inbred we call the queen has to deciede thanks to our silly constitution .

It looks like Clegg and Cameron will make a deal and we'll have a Conservative/Lib Dem government. Which i for one will be happy with.

All politicians are wankers at the end of the day, but it's about the lesser of two wankers being in charge. Gordon Brown is the biggest wanker on the face of the Earth.

And you know what makes it worse? No one voted for him to be PM. Tony Blair just went "Hey i'm retiring, my good friend Gordon will take over! None of you lot have a choice!"

Honestly, i swear down on my mothers life, if i saw Gordon Brown on the street i'd head butt him... about five times right on the bridge of the nose. I wouldn't care about the jail time, because i know i'd be loved and no one would touch me. ****, even the screws would probably give me a pat on the back.

Gordon Brown and Tony Blair may well hold the title of the most hated men in Britain right now.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!

Gordon Brown - The man who can make right-wing ******** and leftist hippies come together, break bread, shake hands and understand that splitting power and dooming society to constant arguments between the two controlling poles is still better than having "that stupid little ****" at the helm.

I would never vote for brown, He freaks me right out. I voted for the conservative's, I think by the time this weekend has finished the conservative's should be the new government.

Yea it seems the Lib Dems and Conservatives will join forces.

Good lord, I really hope not

Cameron's Conservaties ain't nothing like Maggie's or Major's. They are not as right wing as they used to be. No where near really.

And honestly, they are the only ones who are gonna get our country out of the ****ter IMO.

I mean, Cameron was the one who said he wants to team up with Clegg earlier today, they have a lot more in common with the Lib Dems these days.

Winston Churchill ftw. You guys use necromancy right?

I just don't trust them not to pull some nanny-state nonsense on us. I want the government to intefere in peoples lives as little as possible.

And I really don't trust David Cameron. His **** poor record on gay rights makes me nervous, I don't believe for a moment he's got any interest in equality for those of us who are LGBT. And someting about him...I don't know, he makes my skin crawl.

I guess it's just that I don't trust the Conservatives to have changed enough since the days of Thatcher. I just can't trust the party

I don't want a nanny state, but it's pretty obvious that this country is ****ed in so many ways, socially is one of them. We need a clamp down.

Prisons for example. Do you know why crime is so high? It's because life in prison is better and easier than life on the outside for 90% of the lags. And also because there is this mentality, especially amongst the younger generations, that going to prison or being a criminal is "cool".

Outside they can't afford to put food on the table, they live on electric key metres and struggle to pay it, they don't have a PS3 or xbox 360 etc etc.

Inside? 3 hot meals a day, a comfy bed, don't have to worry about the bills or rent or mortgage, a PS3 or 360 in the cell. They've got it eeeeaaaassssyyy. And unlike America, raping in the showers isn't that common so they ain't gotta worry about that :D

The whole system needs a change.

They get video games in prison?

We should do. We need old Churchy back!

I don't know, he worked with the Daleks..could we really trust him after that error in judgement?:awesome:

So long as the "Clamp down" is only targetted at actual criminals. Muggers, rapists, killers. If the governent wishes to get harsh on crime like that, I don't have a problem with it.

What I DO have a problem with is the governmet targeting people based on their lifestyle. I do not want to see crap like Operation: Spanner again, which targeted perfectly innocent people who were members of the BDSM comunity.

Or the "Extreme porn ban" which criminalised owning certain kinds of pornography. Essentially telling consenting adults what they can and cannot do in private.

Or Amendment 28 which Cameron voted against repealing, which criminalised "Promoting" homosexuality in schools. :whatever:

As far as I am concerned, so long as everyone is of legal age and has gven thir consent, the government has no business intefering in what they do or do not do together. I don't want the government forcing everyone to live how they tell them to live.

Wait, are you saying you want there to be more raping in the showers?

Because that would certainly be an...unusual platform for a politician to run on:awesome:

Yea! That's what i ****ing mean!

Labour wants to wrap lags in cotton wool and treat them nicely... and they wonder why crime is so high and people don't give a **** about going to prison?

The Conservatives will change all that. You change the prison system, you make prison a horrible, horrible place to be... you watch the crime rate instantly fall.

Well personally i don't think homosexuality should be "promoted" in schools. I think it should be talked about and made clear that there is absolutely nothing wrong with it, sure. But "promoted" is the wrong word.

Well that's what they mean by "Promoted". Apologies, I should have been more clear. When they say "Promotion" they just mean teaching kids that it exists and that there is nothing wrong with being LGBT. "Promoted" is the word they use, but it's not used accurately.
s
So in a nutshell, Amednment 28 existed to try and keep people ignorant and prejudiced against those who were LGBT and to try and prevent kids being taught that there was nothing wrong with homosexuality.

Basically bigoted garbage from an ignorant time that David Cameron voted AGAINST getting rid of. Thankfully it was repealed anyway in another important move toward diveristy and tolerace.

He claims he's changed since that vote. But as this was only back in 2003 I don't know. I can accept that A leopard can change its spots but that quickly? That I find harder to believe

I think he does understand. He must know about discrimination and be sensitive to it. He has to be, he has a mentally disabled child, and they get picked on a lot in schools.

I think Cameron is a decent bloke who is trying to change things that have been associated with the Tories for decades. It will be a very hard job, especially convincing his own party members.

Me and my family have voted Labour for years. Well, i think ALL working class families have. But no one in their right mind can vote for Labour anymore, it is clear they have basically destroyed this country.

And i don't think the Lib Dems can fix it on their own. I think the Tories are a much better choice. A Torie/Lib Dem coalition would be ever better. You get the best of both worlds, and Labour is no where in sight!
